Chapter Forty Six - The Big Three

After the events of the Provisional License Exams, the students of Class 1-A went back to class, eager to continued their Hero Studies. Passing the Provisional License Exams instilled a strong sense of confidence within Ilana and Lance as all their hard work has paid off.

Soon enough, three students entered the classroom.

Ilana: Are we getting new classmates?

Aizawa: They're not new students. They're UA's top three students with the potential to become top Pro Heroes.

The goofy and energetic Mirio Togata was the first to introduce himself. The bubbly Nejire Hado did the same while the shy and reserved Tamaki Amajiki was silent. Nejire then began asking multiple students questions about the students and their Quirks. She quickly turned her attention to Ilana, Lance and Octus. Before any of them could answer, Nejire moved on to another student. Soon enough, Mirio talks about the upcoming internships. After that, he promptly challenges the whole class to a fight.

Lance: You want to fight us? All by yourself?

Mirio: Yep! I want to see what you can do!

Aizawa then leads Class 1-A to the Gym Gamma building where Mirio does some stretches. Octus observes Mirio while he does some last minute stretches. The only ones who didn't participate were Bakugo and Todoroki.

Aizawa: View this as a learning experience! It's a good opportunity for you all!

Mirio: Don't wait up on my account, guys! Attack me whenever and wherever you want!

Tokoyami: You're obviously much more ahead than us. But we've fought Pros.

Kirishima: Not to mention we took down some legitimate villains!

Ilana: Are you sure about this, Mirio?

Mirio: I'm sure!

Mirio simply smiles as he did some last minute stretching. He gladly welcomed the challenge from Class 1-A. When the fight began, Midoriya charged at Mirio. But as he does so, Mirio's clothes suddenly begin to fall off. Jiro lets out an embarrassed scream as she covered her eyes. Ilana covered her eyes in embarrassment.

Lance: What the hell?!

Sero: Why did your clothes fall off?!

Embarrassed by this, Mirio tries to put his clothes on.

Mirio: Oopsie! My Quirk's kinda tricky!

Midoriya sees an opportunity and tries to kick Mirio, but his attack phases right through him. Mirio smiles.

Mirio: Went for the face huh?

Mirio then suddenly disappears into the ground. Everyone kept their guard up while attempting to find Mirio. Suddenly, Mirio appeared from the ground behind the long distance fighters.

Mirio: I think I'll start by taking out the long distance fighters!

Jiro turns around to see a smiling and naked Mirio behind her. She lets out a scream that catches the attention of her classmates.

Mina: Hey! How did he do that?!

Before anyone could react, Mirio quickly takes out the long distance fighters without much difficulty. He then moved through the rest of the class as they attempt to attack him, but their attacks phase through. Ilana attempts to fire energy blasts on Mirio, but Mirio phases through her attacks and lands a powerful punch at her stomach, sending her to the ground. Lance charges in and attempts to attack Mirio with a kick, but Mirio simply phases through it and proceeds. Mirio then prepares to land a punch on Lance, but Lance barely manages to get out of the way.

Mirio: Whoa! You're pretty fast, Lance!

Lance picks up a staff Yaoyorozu had made and throws it at Mirio. As Mirio phases through it, Lance attempts to land a punch as he was phasing back. But when Lance got close enough, Mirio landed a powerful punch which knocked Lance to the ground. Soon enough, Octus was the last one standing.

Mirio: Looks like it's just me and you, Newton!

Octus begins analyzing Mirio and his Quirk. As he attempts to adapt to Mirio's Quirk, Mirio charges in and throws a punch. Octus was able to block the punch.

Mirio: Whoa! That's a neat trick! Guess you're pretty strong, huh?

Octus attempts to launch a counter attack on Mirio, but his attacks phase right through Mirio. Despite Octus's best efforts, he was unable to counter Mirio's Quirk. Mirio soon lands a powerful punch which sends Octus flying against a wall. Octus quickly realized that attempting to win the fight would result in him exposing himself as a robot, and by extension, expose Ilana and Lance. Octus chose to throw the fight.

Mirio: POWER!!!!!!!!

With that, Mirio won an overwhelming victory against Class 1-A. Ilana and Lance were taken aback at how Mirio was able to take down nearly all of Class 1-A by himself. As the class slowly got up, they gathered around Aizawa and the Big Three. Mirio had a goofy smile on his face as he put his clothes on.

Mirio: I tried to make it so that you wouldn't see my willy. Sorry if you got a peak! But anyway, that's a taste of what it's like to fight me!

Yaoyorozu: What an amazing Quirk you have.

Mirio: It wasn't easy, I'll tell you that! It took me a while to get used to my Quirk, but with a little hard work, I was able to get a good grasp of my Quirk!

It was clear to Ilana, Lance, Octus and the rest of Class 1-A that Mirio was something different. They could see why Mirio was considered to be a student with the potential to become a top Pro Hero, maybe even the Number One Hero with All Might's retirement. Mirio then informs the class of the Hero Work Studies in which the students would be working with Pro Heroes. With that, the display was over. As class was dismissed, the Galalunians spoke to each other.

Lance: I can't believe we lost to that guy!

Ilana: We underestimated him, Lance. But I'm more curious about Octus.

Octus: Mirio's mastery of his Quirk made him into a formidable opponent. Attempting to defeat him would've had me resort to using my full combat capabilities, but expose us.

Ilana: You did the right thing, Octus.

Despite the overwhelming defeat at the hands of Mirio, Ilana and Lance saw this as a learning opportunity to better hone their skills. Meanwhile outside of UA, the bounty hunter Mordred had tracked Ilana down to UA. He would wait for the right time to strike.
