After their first day at the Beast Forest, Ilana and Lance along with Octus trained alongside Class 1-A and Class 1-B. As night fell on the Quirk Training Camp, fell, Class 1-A and Class 1-B continued their training with the exception of the students doing remedial classes. During a training exercise in the Beast Forest, Ilana and Lance were paired up.
Ilana: Do you have to be so cold to our classmates?
Lance: My only concern is the mission. My only concern is keeping you safe.
Ilana: I am fully aware of this, but you need to stop treating everyone like a potential threat!
Lance: I won't let anything hurt you.
Ilana sighs in annoyance. While she deeply appreciated Lance's concern, she felt he was too cold and distant. Suddenly, Ilana and Lance noticed something in the distance. They saw blue flames in the nearby forest.
Lance: Something's not right....
Ilana: We have to warn the others!
Without hesitation, Ilana begins making a run for the cabin. Lance follows Ilana. As they reached the cabin, they saw Aizawa stomping on what appeared to be a pile of mud.
Ilana: Mr. Aizawa! Are you all right!
Aizawa: I'm fine, but that's not important right now. Villains are attacking the training camp!
Lance: How did they find us?!
Aizawa: It doesn't matter at this moment. What matters now is that we need to push them back. You two get inside and let the Pros handle this.
Ilana: We can help you!
Lance: No. We need to get you to safety!
Ilana: I won't sit back and watch innocent people get hurt! Please, Mr. Aizawa! Let us help you!
At this point, Aizawa thought about the situation at hand. Most of the students were scattered all across the camp. Even with all the Pros at the camp, they were still outnumbered against the League of Villains.
Aizawa: Fine. Find your classmates and get them to safety. There's a possibility that the students are targets so watch your back. Don't do anything reckless.
Ilana: We won't let you down! Come on, Lance!
With that, Ilana and Lance began moving through the Beast Forest in search for their classmates. Meanwhile, the Villain Mustard was attacking Tetsutetsu and Kendo who were defending the students who were rendered unconscious by a gas cloud generated by his Quirk.
Kendo: Carrying a gun around is just another way of saying you've got no confidence in a fight. Because at least us simple minds at U.A...have grown beyond the point of ever thinking there's no hope!
Mustard: Hey...aren't you supposed to be heroes someday? It doesn't make much sense to me...how a simpleton like you gets praised because of your school's reputation...you're pampered by the world just because of your alma mater!! Don't ya think it's not right?!
Mustard then shoots at Kendo, but Tetsutetsu takes the bullet.
Tetsutetsu: Kendo! Run! Get out of here!
Kendo: I'm not leaving you behind!
Mustard: You're getting a top-notch education at a famous school. At least use some strategy. If not...you're barely worth killing.
As Mustard was about to shoot them, Octus suddenly appears in front of Mustard.
Mustard: What the hell?! Why isn't my gas knocking you out?!
As Mustard aims his pistol at Octus, Octus grabs Mustard by the head. After making some scans on Mustard, Octus applies pressure to Mustard's gas mask. As the mask cracks, Mustard inadvertently inhales his own gas. As Mustard looses consciousness, the gas cloud quickly dissipates. Kendo and Tetsutetsu breathed a sigh of relief as Ilana and Lance join them.
Ilana: Newton!
Octus: Hello. We are under attack.
Lance: We've noticed.
Ilana: Is everyone okay?
Suddenly, the group was attacked by a Mutraad Elite. Kendo and Tetsutetsu assmued it to be a Nomu, but Ilana, Lance and Octus knew what it was.
Ilana: Go! Get the others to safety!
Kendo: What about you?!
Lance: We'll handle this beast. You'll only slow us down.
Left with no choice, Kendo and Tetsutetsu gathered the unconscious UA students and got them away while Ilana, Lance and Octus stood behind to fight the Mutraad Elite. Once they were alone, Ilana and Lance activated their armors. Octus ran several scans on it and noticed something odd.
Octus: The physiology on this Mutraddi is different. It doesn't match the genetic makeup of the Mutraddi. It's...different.
Lance: It doesn't matter! It's still our enemy! We must face it!
With that, Ilana and Lance along with Octus prepared to battle against the Mutraad Elite. The Mutraad Elite lets out a powerful roar as he charges a them and began attacking them with his sword. Much to their shock, this Mutraddi proved to be more challenging than the others. Lance was especially taken aback by this. After along fought battle, the three Galalunians struck down the Mutraad Elite.
Lance: That Mutraddi....something was different about it. It didn't fight like any Mutraddi I've ever fought.
Octus: This Mutraddi's physiology was different compared to the average Mutraddi.
Lance: So the Mutraddi are using the League of Villains's attack to launch their own attack.
Ilana: We have to help the others!
With that, Ilana and Lance along with Octus prepared to battle against the Mutraad Elite as well as the League of Villains. Meanwhile across the Training Camp, Lurtz and the rest of the Mutraad Elite launched a full scale invasion on the entire camp. The UA students believed this to be an army of Nomu. In the cabin, Lurtz personally led a squadron of Mutraad Elite. As they searched for Ilana, Mina and the other remedial students hid as the Mutraddi ransacked the cabin.
Lurtz: FIND THE PRINCESSS! FIND THE PRINCESS!
The Mutraad Elite howled and roared as they continued ransacking the cabin. When they found no signs of Ilana, they moved on and left the cabin. In that moment, the Mutraad Elite had launched their attack.
