Season 2 - Episode 16: Interrogation...

"How do we ask them about it?"

Jayden shrugged in response to Jake. "I don't know..." Jayden responded. "Y'know what? We should just.. confront them now." Charles suggested. Jake tilted his head, "But then the plan is gonna blow up! It's gonna turn out horribly".

"What if we tell Y/N? I mean, she's gonna have to know." Amy suggested. Jayden looked to Amy, "It's gonna hurt her... badly." He replied to her.

Rosa raised an eyebrow, "Since when did you care about Y/N THIS much? Yeah sure, you're her best friend. But this is a whole different level." She pointed out. Jayden rolled his eyes, "Can we not talk about that now?" He exclaimed.

"Yeah, don't bug him about that right NOW. We're dealing with a situation that possibly has lives at stake." Jake agreed with Jayden. "But we're still asking him about it." Jake continued, making Jayden roll his eyes.

"Right, enough about Jayden's crush on Y/N. Can we get this over with and just tell Y/N?" Amy asked. Jayden looked to Amy, "First of all, I don't have a crush on her anymore. Second..."

"Yeah we should probably tell Y/N now."

You were sitting at your desk, working on the case.

"Hey Y/N?" Jayden said, making you look up from your work. "Can I help you?" You questioned him, raising an eyebrow. "Yeah uh... Can I talk to you?.. In private?" He asked, taking a quick glance around the room before asking you.

"Why? Is it another question about my life? Because honestly Jayden, you're about to be removed from it." You threatened, making Jayden shake his head quickly and nervously. "No, Y/N, I have something really really serious to talk about with you." Jayden responded, making you sigh.

"Fine. We have to be quick though." You grumbled, making Jayden nod his head. He then lead you to the records room.

Ian watched the both of you as Jayden lead you to the records room. Once you were out of his sight, he just shrugged and went back to what he was doing beforehand.

You and Jayden entered the records room, seeing the rest of the squad waiting there (besides Ian and Arthur of course).

"What's this about?" You questioned, crossing your arms. "We have something to tell you..." Jayden explained. You raised an eyebrow, "What is it then?" You asked. "You're not gonna like the news though." Charles pointed out, earning a nudge from Jake.

"Well, why are you telling me then?" You questioned. "Because you have to know. We have no choice but to tell you, Y/N." Amy responded, making you look to her and sigh. "Fine." You said after rolling your eyes.

"Okay so, what we have to tell you is..." Jake sighed and looked to Jayden.

"Well, what we're trying to say is..." Jayden gulped a bit, "Your boyfriend and his best friend are apart of the Ghost Gang." Jayden explained. You stared at the squad blankly with a serious expression on your face.

After a few moments, you bursted into laughter. The squad looked at you in confusion.

You slowly calmed down, "Very funny joke, y'all. Well done." You said, as you stopped laughing. "We're not joking, Y/N." Jayden responded, making you look back at him. "Are you sure you didn't come up with it because of how jealous of Ian you are?" You questioned, walking to Jayden. He looked away quickly.

"Y/N, we have evidence. Ian and Arthur aren't who you think they are. They could be planning to kill you." Jake responded to you in a serious tone. You looked to him and started walking over to him. "Are you sure that "evidence" isn't something that was based on one of those stupid cop films you watch all the time, Jake?" You questioned. Jake gritted his teeth a bit. Amy tried to calm her husband down.

"Look guys, I don't have time for your shit right now. We have a case to work on and right now, I'm getting little to no help from you guys." You explained to the squad, starting to walk away from them. "Anyways, I'm gonna go continue working on the case. Bye." You said before leaving the records room.

"So... What now, Jayden?" Rosa asked Jayden, making him sigh.

"We confront Ian first.."

Ian was lead to the Records room by Jake.

"What's going on here?..." Ian questioned as he walked into the records room. Jake went to join the others.

"We need to talk to you about something." Amy responded, making Ian have a confused and worried expression on his face. "What's there to talk about?" Ian asked, trying to hide his nervousness.

"We know your secret." Rosa crossed her arms. Ian gulped slightly, "What secret?" He asked. "The secret about you and Arthur being apart of the Ghost Gang." Charles responded. Ian's eyes widened a bit.

"What? Arthur and I aren't apart of the Ghost Gang..." Ian denied, gulping a bit. "No, you are apart of the Ghost Gang. And we have the evidence to prove it." Terry responded, holding up the evidence in his hand. Ian looked down.

"What are you doing? Aren't you gonna make a whole escape?" Jake tilted his head, thinking about those typical scenes from crime TV shows and movies. Ian looked up to them, shaking his head.

"No. I can't tell Arthur that you guys know." Ian replied after sighing a bit. "Why's that?" Jayden questioned, crossing his arms. "Because I actually care about you guys, okay? Especially Y/N." Ian responded, starting to get even more worried. "And if Arthur found out, then he'd have no choice to tell my boss who will kill you all. Including me, Arthur and Y/N." He continued to explain.

"I honestly wanted no part in this, but when Vin Ross mentioned avenging my best friend and his dad, I had no choice to be apart of the plan." Ian continued. Jayden shook his head slightly, starting to get angrier.

"What Jayden? Why are you mad? I'm telling the truth here!" Ian noticed Jayden getting angrier. "Here's the thing, Ian. Or should I say Sebastian?" Jayden responded, looking back at Ian and walking over to him.

"You're telling us that you wanted to do this to avenge the two gentlemen that kept your girlfriend's father hostage for 6 months. Those guys kept your GIRLFRIEND'S FATHER hostage. Fuck, they threatened to get her too and kill the both of them." Jayden lashed out.

"And you're telling me that you're choosing your criminal friends and your life over your girlfriend who is doing the best for this city?" Jayden scoffed. "Dude, If you don't wanna sacrafice anything for her then I would without hesitation." He admitted, making everyone look to him in surprise.

"Now, if you want the best for her, you're unfortunately going to have to tell her everything and break up with her." Jayden shrugged. Ian looked at him in confusion, "Why would I break up with her? I love her!" He responded.

Jayden scoffed, "If you really loved her, you'd do anything to protect her." he pointed out. "But if you want to continue putting her AND her family's life at risk, that's up to you. Just know that karma's gonna come back at you real hard." Jayden sighed. Ian looked at Jayden, worried and unsure of what to say. Jayden shrugged,

"It's your choice, Martinez."
