Season 3 - Episode 5: Finding Jayden

"Dios, why did it take that long to get here?.."

You sighed as you unlocked the door to your hotel room which was going to be your new home for the night. You then opened the door to the room and walked in, turning on the lights and closing the door behind you.

You then saw a decent-looking bed with two bedside tables that had nightlights, a small TV set up and a door most likely leading to the bathroom. The view from the outside of your window was alright as well.

After settling down into the room, you began to go through the evidence that would help you on this mission.

But also, you really needed to find Jayden.

Your first thought was to just call him.

But then he was probably going to be suspicious of you so that was a pretty bad idea. Then again, you were going to end up finding him anyway..

After a few moments of thinking, you finally decided that you were going to call him. Sure, he might be a little bit suspicious of you calling him and asking about what he's been doing. But it's not going to ruin the plan, right?

Plus, it's gonna be nice to hear his voice again...

Anyways..

You grabbed your phone and laptop from your luggage. You placed your laptop on your bed carefully.

You then grabbed your phone and dialed Jayden's number. Your hands shivered slightly as negative thoughts began to fill your head.

'What if he doesn't answer?'

'What if he's in the middle of something?'

'What if he doesn't wanna talk to me?'

'What if he doesn't answer because he's-'

Within moments, Jayden answered the phone, executing all of your negative thoughts.

"Jayden?.." You said, holding your phone up to your ear with your hand.

"Y/N! Hey!" You heard Jayden's voice greet happily over the phone. You sighed quietly in relief, a smile forming on your face. You could tell that he was smiling as well. Which made you even happier...

Moving on...

"Hey, Jayden! Uh.. How are you? How is everything?" You asked him.

"Everything's good actually! We've had quite a few leads so far, which is great." Jayden informed in an exciting tone, making you smile a little more.

"We're currently in LA for the case by the way."

"Oh really?" You replied, smiling and typing up LA onto your laptop's notes. "Yeah! It's so cool here! But the hotel we're in is... fine." He said in a slightly disappointed tone.

"But besides that, We think they're going to have some sort of Heist or meeting here." Jayden added.

"Also, I have a new case buddy!" He continued, before you could say anything.

"Really?" You asked. "Yeah! He's right next to me." Jayden informed. You heared him mumble something to someone over the phone.

A moment later, you heared a different voice on the phone.

"Hi Y/N!" He greeted in a happy tone.

"Hello!" You smiled, replying to the other voice.

"That was Detective Shaun Park by the way. He's my new case buddy!" You heard Jayden's voice say.

"It was very nice to uh.. hear his voice!" You responded with a smile as you sensed Jayden and Shaun smile on the other line.

The two deetectives on the other line continued to talk about

"Anyways, We're gonna head to bed now. I guess I'll talk to you tomorrow?..." Jayden asked hesitantly.

You felt your cheeks heat up slightly as you smiled. "Alright. I'll talk to you tomorrow." You replied.

"Okay.. Bye! And Goodnight!" Jayden said to you. "Goodnight to you and Shaun too." You smiled before hanging up.

So it turns out you didn't have to ask him too much...

You placed your phone on your bedside table and plugged your charger into the powerpoint behind the nightstand. You then grabbed your phone and plugged the charger into your phone before placing it on your nightstand.

You then turned to your laptop and sighed.

"Time to find Jayden..."
