His long, braided hair rolled over his shoulders, his maroon eyes scanning over the television. Where did you go? You just disappeared! What about the promise you had made him? He wiped his face with his red sleeve, attempting to keep tears from rolling down his caramel cheeks. He hoped you were still alive out there.
Kallik, stifling sobs, reminisced about when he and you had met. Two years before, he had stumbled across your battered body in an alleyway. It had him worried that you wouldn't survive, your body had been twisted in several unnatural ways. A normal person wouldn't have survived the predicament he had found you in. That scared him.
He had ended up bringing you home, treating your wounds with his mom's help. They had then taken you in after learning you had nowhere to go. He recalled wondering just what you had been through. You two had then stayed with his mom for the next two years, his birthday having just passed.
