Anika: *walking away* Nahi, nahi, bilkul nahi!
(No, no, absolutely no!)

Shivaay: *chasing behind her* Meri baat toh suno! Let's at least discuss the pros and cons.
(Listen to me! Let's at least discuss the pros and cons.)

Anika: *confused* Kaun? Kaun toh taye hain. Main, doctor, nurses aur, delivery ke baad, baccha. Aur kaun hoga?
(Who? Who all is decided. Me, the doctor, nurses and, after delivery, the child.)
(*Con sounds like 'kaun', which means "who" in Hindi.)

Shivaay: *face-palms* Woh wala kaun nahi.
(Not that.)

Anika: Jo bhi hain, maine keh diya na nahi aur nahi matlab nahi.
(Whatever it is, I've said no and no means no.)

Anika asserted her point and walked out of the. Shivaay once again chased after her. She walked quite fast for a 6 months pregnant lady. And you maybe wondering what this argument was about? It was about if Shivaay should be present inside the labour delivery room when Anika gave birth. Anika could see no reason why he should and Shivaay could see no reason why he shouldn't.

Shivaay: Anika almost har country mein father room reh sakta hain, in fact it's recommended. Aaj-kal toh India ke bhi har hospital main allowed hain. Toh main kyoon tumhare saath nahi reh sakta?
(Anika, in almost every country the father is allowed to be in the room, in fact it's recommended. Nowadays it's allowed in hospitals in India as well. Then why can't I stay with you?)

Anika: Aap andar reh ke bhi karenge kya?
(What will you even do inside?)

Shivaay: Karna toh sab tumhe hi hain likin doctors, nurses, anesthesiologist, physical therapist, technicians; sab andar hote hain aur mere hone se tumhe problem hain.
(You're the only one who has to do everything but doctors, nurses, anesthesiologist, physical therapist, technicians; all of them will be inside and you have a problem with me being there.)

Anika: Haan toh woh sab toh delivery mein support ke liye hote hain.
(Yes but they will support me during delivery.)

Shivaay: Toh main bhi toh support ke liye hi rahoonga!
(So I will also be there for support!)

Anika opened her mouth her to say something but had nothing.

Shivaay: *smirks* Ran out of points?

Anika ignored him and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, trying to come up with a counterpoint. OmRuRiVya also came in the hall. Anika's eyes twinkled seeing them.

Anika: Om, Rudra, Chutki, Bhavya; yahaan aao aur apne Bade Bhaiya ko samjhao.
(Om, Rudra, Chutki, Bhavya; come here and make your brother understand.)

Rudra: *enthusiastically* Bilkul samjhaate hain bhabhi! *confused* ...Likin samjhana kya hain?
(We'll definitely make him understand sister-in-law! ...But what do we need to make him understand?)

Anika: Yeh keh rahe hain delivery ke dauraan yeh mere saath andar rahenge. Bolo inhe ise nahi hota hain.
(He's saying that he'll be with me inside the delivery room. Tell him that does not happen.)

Gauri: Bilkul nahi hota.
(It does not happen.)

Om: Kyoon nahi hota?
(Why does it not happen?)

RiKara said at the same time and looked at each other.

Gauri: Omkaraji, bade bhaiya, aisa nahi hota hain. Prasav ke samay mard aurat ke aas-paas bhi nahi hote.
(Omkara, Brother-in-law, it does not happen that way. DUring childbirth, men aren't even supposed to be around the woman.)

Shivaay: *keeping hands on hips* Aur yeh kisne decide kiya hain?
(And who decided that?)

Gauri: *stating* Sadiyon se aisa hi hota hain.
(It has happened that way for centuries.)
