Shivaay and Anika were sitting on Dr Sinha's cabin, waiting for him to return with X-ray images of Sahil's leg. Anika was nervously fidgeting with her dupatta while Shivaay was going over the brochure of the clinical trial.

Dr Sinha: Good morning Mr and Mrs Oberoi

Dr Sinha greeted them while entering the cabin.

ShivIka: Good morning Dr Sinha.

Dr Sinha put the X-ray images on the light board.

Dr Sinha: These are the images of Sahil's latest scans. *points to the image* As you can see here, the difference between the right leg and left leg, the healthy leg. In the right leg, just below the knee joint, there is a malunion fracture in the tibia. A malunion fracture occurs if the two ends of the broken bone are not lined up properly, the displaced ends of the get filled in by new bone. This may have occurred when Sahil was in a car accident 8 years ago. To correct it, we'll perform an osteotomy. In this procedure, we
will cut the affected bones and realign them. To keep the bones stable while they heal, we'll attach metal plates to the bone.

Anika: Ek minute, aapko Sahil ki haddi... Todni padegi?
(Wait a minute, you will have to... break Sahil's bone?)

Dr Sinha: Mrs Oberoi, kabhi-kabhi jab fractures theek se heal nahi hote, toh zaroori hota hain bones ko cut karke properly realign karna. Yeh procedure hospital ke best and most qualified surgeons perform karenge with state of the art technology.
(Mrs Oberoi, sometimes when fractures do not heal properly, it is necessary to cut and realign the bones properly. This procedure will be performed by the best and most qualified surgeons of the hospital with state of the art technology.)

Shivaay kept his hand over Anika's and gave it an assuring squeeze.

Shivaay: Doctor, when can we schedule the procedure?

Dr Sinha: Tomorrow morning, if you both consent.

Anika: Kya hum ek baar Sahil se baat karke aapko bata sakte hain?
(Can we talk to Sahil once and inform you?)

Dr Sinha: Of course. Do you have any questions?

ShivAni shook their heads and left the cabin. Outside, Shivaay held Anika's hands.

Shivaay: Kya hua?
(What happened?)

Anika: Kuch nahi-
(Nothing-)

Shivaay glared at her.

Shivaay: Jab tumhe pata hain tum mujhse jhoot nahi bol sakti ho toh try bhi kyoon karti ho?
(When you know that you can't lie to me, why do you even try?)

Anika: Shivaay, mujhe bahot ghabrahat ho rahi hain. Haddi tootne ke baad judne mein kitna samay lagta hain aur yeh toh pehli surgery hi hain. Iske baad physiotherapy, dawaiyaan aur pata nahi kya-kya. Sahil ke liye khaeen yeh sab bahot zyaada na ho jaaye.
(Shivaay, I am getting very nervous. It takes time for bone to heal after breaking and this is the first surgery only. After this physiotherapy, medicines and what else. Lest all this become too much for Sahil.)

Shivaay: Mujhpe bharosa karti ho?
(Do you trust me?)

Anika: Kya?
(What?)

Shivaay: Do you trust me?

Anika: Khud se bhi zyaada.
(More than I trust myself.)

Shivaa: Then trust me, main yeh procedure kabhi recommend hi nahi karta agar mujhe ispar 1% bhi doubt hota. Dr Sinha and his team are the best. And humara Sahil is smart and brave. This treatment can change his life.
(Then trust me, I would never recommend this procedure if I had even 1% doubt on it. Dr Sinha and his team are the best. And our Sahil is smart and brave. This treatment can change his life.)
