24. Dinner Date

Shivaay and Rudra were dressed for office, just blazers kept aside, and were making breakfast when Om joined them. Seeing their returned-from-honeymoon brother, ShivRu smirked at each other and jumped at the opportunity to tease him.

Shivaay: Mr Omkara Singh Oberoi, oh sorry Mr Omkara Gauri Kumari Sharma, how was Maldives😁?

Om glared at Shivaay 😒

Om: It was great. Beaches, boats and dining, we had a lot fun.

Rudra: O, wahaan koi keede toh nahi the? Kaatne wale?
(O, hope there weren't any insects there? The ones that bite.)

Om: Shut up Rudra.

Shivaay: He has a point though.

Om: I think you both are jealous.

Rudra: Jealous toh aap hone wale ho because bhaiyon aur unki beheno, Bhavya aur main next week Milan jaa rahe hain.
(You're the one who's going to be jealous because brothers and their sisters, Bhavya and I are going to Milan next week.)

Shivaay: Tu ne Om ke baat kuch zyaada hi dil pe nahi le li?
(Didn't you take Om's words to heart a little too much?)

Rudra: Arey bhaiya, O itna special nahi. *doges a smack on his head by Om* Meri Milan mein ek meeting hain. Toh 2 din mein jaa ke aane se better hain main 1 week wahaan reh loon aur Bhavya ke saath ghoom loon. Uska bhi first international trip ho jayega, hume time spend karne ko bhi mil jayega.
(Bhaiya, O isn't that special. I have a meeting in Milan. So it is better to stay there for 1 week and roam around with Bhavya than to come back in 2 days. It'll be her first international trip and we will also get to spend time.)

Om: *impressed* Is duffer ne pehle baar koi smart kaam kiya hain.
(This duffer did something smart for the first time.?

Rudra: You're just jealous. Waise bhaiya, aap toh itni happening jagah business trips pe jaate ho, kabhi bhabhi ko saath kyoon nahi ke jaate?
(You're just jealous. By the way bhaiya, you go on business trips to such happening places, why don't you sometimes take Bhabhi with you?)

Shivaay: Let me see, meri last business trip pe mera sar phat gaya tha. Uske pehle mera plane hijack aur main kidnap ho gaya and uske pehle mera chopper blast ho gaya. You were asking main Anika ko saath kyoon nahi le jaata.
(Let me see, on my last business trip I had stones thrown on me. Before thay my plane got hijacked and I got kidnapped and before that my chopper exploded. You were asking why I don't taje Anika along.)

Om: But seriously Shivaay, tujhe Anika bhabhi ke saath thoda quality time spend karna chahiye.
(But seriously Shivaay, you should spend some quality time with Anika Bhabhi.)

Shivaay: We do spend-

Om: *cuts him off* Not just 2 ghante Shivika ke sone aur uthne ke beech.
(Not just two hours between Shivika sleeping and waking up.)

Shivaay: 😶

Om: You know married couples ke liye bhi dates par jaana utna hi zaroori hain jitna unmarried couples ke liye. Zindagi ki daud mein jism toh aage chala jaata likin rooh peechhe chhoot jaati hain.

Rudra: O, har baat ke liye poetry karna zaroori hain? Seedhe-seedhe bol do har Thursday night aapki aur Gauri bhabhi ki date night hoti hain.

O: ... Tujhe kaise pata?

Rudy: Agent Rudy hain mera naam, sabki khabar rakhna hain mera kaam! ....Aur main Gauri bhabhi ka boss hoon, woh har Thursday fatafat kaam karke jaldi nikal jaati hain aur Friday subah tak calls tak nahi leti.
