37.Sunset

It has been 5 months since I said goodbye to Kai.

Honestly I'm living my best life.

I can't believe I didn't do this earlier. Klaus and I have visited 20 country's. That's a lot for 5 months.
Right know we are in Turkey. It's so beautiful here.

I love the culture! Sometimes I wish that I wasn't a vampire. I miss being human.

Since I left Mystic Falls, I've had weird dreams.
But always the same one.

Kai and I being married and have if kids. The same dream I had when I kidnapped Jermey.

I don't know what they have been up too. We didn't talk in months. I miss the times where Damon and Stefan tried to sneak me out of the house to play football with me. I miss cheering each other up after our Dad hit them.

Being away gave some time to think and thank god Klaus is with me. I don't know what I would've done without him. I mean we did sleep tothetzet in these 5 months but besides that he has been an amazing friend.

I'm sitting on a roof and looking at the stars.

"Are you cold?", Klaus asks besides me.
Sometimes we have silence sessions because the day was along or just because we need time to think.
"No are you?", I ask him, still looking at the stars. "A little but nothing I can't handle"
I turn me head to him and see him smirking. I laugh :" You Self-enamored b*stard"

He laughs with me
"Just go inside, I'll be down in 5"
"Ok, don't stay out so long", he says and gets up before speeding away. I sigh.

5 months and he hasn't left my mind, well I stopped thinking about him 2 weeks ago. When I used to think about him, I would get excited but for the last 2 months? No excitement.

Suddenly I feel something in my hand. A piece of paper? Someone must have conjure it up in my hand.

I look at it and there is a note :

" The sunset is pretty, isn't?

-Kai "

My heart stops for a second.

He is letting me go?

Flashback

I barge  in Kai's room with a book in my hand. I see him sitting up from his laying position.

"Look, Kai!", I give him happily the book.
"A book?", he asks. I sit down and kiss him on the cheek.
"Happy Birthday, Malachai" , I smile.

He turns his head towards me 
"You remembered?", he whispers
"Duh, how can I forget my favorite persons birthday?"
"I-" , he was about to say something but I cut him off.

"I know it's not a lot but here", I pull out letters," In those letters are 100 reasons why I love you because your dumbass forgets that you're loved by me"

He looks at the letters and than at me, with big eyes.  He suddenly hugs me and stand up.
My feet aren't touching the ground and he suddenly begins to spin us around.
After he puts me down he begins to kiss my face and lastly my mouth.

We both smile during the kiss.
"I love you", he says. "I love you too", I smile

After thanking me for an hour he begins to read the book.

After 1 hour of reading he closes the book and look at me. I'm laying in his arms reading a book too. I close my book and look at him.
"What's wrong?", I ask him
"Did you know when someone says 'The sunset is pretty , isn't it?' It actually means 'I love you but I'm letting you go' "
