Sorry to have posted the wrong chapter, this is the good one. hope you'll like and that it'll have been worth the wait.

As July made way for August, the progress Kate had made at the party seemed to continue. Dr Charles had been surprised off the progress she'd made during the party. He'd known it would either break her or heal her and it had done so. She was finally willing to talk and not just sit there, brooding angrily. she was opening up and talking about the things that had happened.

Her and Glen were talking as well, the first talk, their real talk in so long had been emotional and hard on both of them. Lots of tears, some smile, but lots of healing for both of them. It had been the thing they really needed. they'd had no idea of how bad things had gotten between them. Her shoulder was healing up rather nicely as well, it hadn't come back completely. She'd need another two months of therapy, but it was slowly getting back as well. the scars were beginning to fade and the injuries were healing. Halfway August the decision had been made to have Louis christened on the final day of August, something everyone looked forward to. Even Kate, it would be her first public appearance since it all went down. But she was getting ready for it.

Recovery wasn't easy of that she was certain, but with family and loved ones you could heal and get through it. Their second to last week of August they'd all gone up to Balmoral. It was the first time that Glen was there but he too loved the nature surrounding the place.

"Come on." Glen whispered, they'd been in Scotland for about five days now and it was doing things to Kate. She was making headway, not that she hadn't continued to make headway since the turning point at Arthur and George's birthday party. No she'd gotten so much better since all of that, sure there were still bad days, the nightmares were still there, not only with her but Arthur as well. He'd wake up crying for Kate, thinking that she'd died, no one would be able to console him, except for Kate. and though they weren't as terrible as they used to be, Kate still had them as well.

But unlike before, it didn't feel like he was losing her anymore. No she was back, still continuing to heal. "Where are we going?" Kate asked him, happy to have another sling, the contrapment of the sling had changed. It was more of a lose fitting one now, to support her shoulder not to immobilize it any longer.

"It's a surprise, Kate and Will are watching Arthur." he told her as he took her hand in his. "Okay." she whispered at him as she gave his hand a small squeeze. Sometimes it was still hard on her, you didn't go through what you did without having a hard time. But slowly the scars on her mind were healing as well. "Glen." she whispered when they turned a corner and she noticed a picnic blanket laid out beside the river running through the estate.

"when did you do this?" she asked him as he helped her to sit down. "When you were talking with Elizabeth." he informed her as she nodded her head; It wasn't that strange for him anymore either to be surrounded by the royals. It still felt strange when you sat at the dining table with the Queen of England, but it was in an informal manner. and they loved it here, it was so beautiful and both of them felt like they'd been recharged. Both of them had been out of touch with the world for the last two months. sure people told them things, but Kate didn't want to know and he only knew the important stuff. He hadn't checked in with the fans, his main priority was his family and he hoped they'd understand that.

"When school starts it'll be back to London." she sighed, looking into the forest ahead of them as he poured them drinks. "Yes, you ready to go back there?" he asked her as she accepted her glass with a small smile. "I don't know." she admitted with a small sigh as she turned to look at Glen.

"I'm not sure it's London though. it's more off getting home. Normally I'd head to work, drop Arthur off at school and then go to work. What do I have to go to now?" she asked him as he wrapped his arms around her shoulders. It was the first time that she was mentioning this to him at least. He had no answers for her, he didn't want to make any decision in her stead either. It was something she needed to do, if she wanted to go back, she would. If she didn't and wanted to do something else he would support her as well. In fact she didn't have to work, her investments were earning her enough. But he knew she'd think it a waste of effort when she'd been at university.
