Chapter 23

"And?" Pippa wondered, her head tilted to the side as Kate shook her head from side to side. "I'm pregnant Pip," Kate whispered in disbelief as she continued to shake her head. She couldn't be pregnant again, but it explained everything. It had to have been during their last weekend in Dublin or in the week that Glen had moved into her place, the week afterwards. It could have happened during any moment in that week they'd been in London together.

"I can't be pregnant Pip," Kate told her, looking at her friend stood behind her as Pippa gave her shoulder a small squeeze. "You'll figure it out Kate, I know it." Pippa tried to give her some reassurance at least as Kate's head and shoulders dropped in defeat.

"This is so not the time," Kate whispered, turning around and leaning against the sink with a heavy sigh, her chin against her chest. Why hadn't she figured out the signals any sooner? She'd been pregnant before, she should have known about it. She'd been nauseous in the mornings, but she figured it had to do with the pressure from work. Then there was the upcoming wedding and the birth of Louis. Things hadn't been exactly calm around her.

"Don't take this wrong way Kate, but you two are a potent pair," Pippa told her with a bark of laughter as Kate threw her a playful glare as Pippa continued to laugh at the situation she once again in. "He's cheating," Kate noted as they got downstairs in realisation as if she'd forgotten about it. how could she be happy about another baby when the father of her soon to be two children was cheating on her? Tears started to roll down her cheeks, it was hard enough if she'd have to stay with him for Arthur's sake when he was cheating. To look at him knowing he'd been with other women whilst being with her at the same time. It sent a shiver down her spine.

But right now she was carrying his child again. How was she going to do this? She couldn't live and bring his second child into the world when he was cheating on her. This was only from one backstage meet and greet after party. What happened to the others, what if it happened at all other parties as well as she felt the bile rise up. Rushing to the downstairs toilet she dropped to her knees and vomited her guts out. How many women had he slept with whilst sharing her bed as well?

"You okay?" Pippa asked her from the doorway. Her own stomach still a bit queasy from her own pregnancy. "Yes," Kate told her as she wiped her mouth with the back of her hand before rinsing it with some mouthwash.

"What if he's been cheating on me for the last few months?" she asked Pippa, covering her lower stomach with her hand. God, she had another baby growing inside of her, another little person she'd made with the man she loved. She didn't doubt her love she felt for him, but she wasn't so sure about his love and commitment to her. She'd never be able to remove the baby, just like she hadn't been able to do it with Arthur. God that would mean that she'd be raising two children with a cheating lying son of a bitch who slept his way around the world.

"I need to know more," Kate noted, heading for the kitchen in a determined manner, starting to mail the anonymous emails.

It was a decision that Kate would come to regret, what she'd find out was enough to make her run a few more times to the bathroom to puke out her guts. Five more pictures had come her way, in total six different women in different stages of kissing.

"God, do I even know him?" Kate asked Pippa as Kate rested her hand on her stomach, she felt sick to her stomach. At first, her mind had tried to tell her that it had been from before this year. But that wasn't possible cause the background poster was of Freedom Child tour.

"Maybe there is an explanation for this?" Pippa tried, she couldn't believe that Glen would be capable of this. They'd met each other several times by now. The way Glen looked at Kate, it wasn't the look that a man gave a woman he was cheating on. All of Kate's friends had agreed on one thing. He was head over heels with Kate and it was like she was his reason for being there and alive. All of them had agreed on that, even the not fans of Glen after what he'd done to Kate the first time. had he really been able to fool them all like this?
