First of all massive thanks for all your lovely comments. I'm glad you're all loving this story.Hope you'll like this chapter.
Sitting across his coffee table, his MacBook on his lap. His mum and dad on the screen. "You're sure that this is the Kate you've been in love with since Greece?" His mum asked him as Glen let out a small chuckle whilst nodding his head.
"Yes Ma, she hasn't changed that much since I saw her last. She's a bit older than she was in Greece, but so am I." he informed his parents with an amused shrug of his shoulders. If they were questioning this, he wondered how they were going to react when he informed them he was a father again. And they had another grandson of almost five years old.
"I'm glad for you son. You never did manage to get her completely out of your head." His dad told him with a smile on his face. "If you really love a person enough to hold onto her for five years without seeing her, that's what real love is Glen." his mum told him as he watched his father cover up a chuckle at his mother being her sentimental self.
"Yes mum, I've known that for five years," Glen told her with a chuckle and shake of his head. "Are you happy Glen?" his dad asked him as Glen couldn't help but grin and nod his head. "As happy as I've ever been," Glen admitted with an overjoyed chuckle bubbling up, his face almost split in two.
"There's something else though." He started, getting the attention of both his parents as they sat up a bit straighter. He couldn't help but wonder how his three grandparents still alive would react to the fact that they had another great-grandchild. He assumed they'd probably have another child to spoil rotten. Then there was his other son turning 18 that year. God all of this was going to become such a mess. Just when things had started to settle between him, Kate and Arthur. It seemed like they were going to stir the calm waters again.
"What's that Glen?" His father asked him with a tilt of his head. "before I tell you." he started with a deep sigh. "You have to know that George kept this from me. He figured it would hold the Script back," he explained as both his parents nodded their heads, uncertain of where all of this was going to go.
"I found my way to Kate because of two reasons. There was a picture of her in the paper of an exhibit at the museum she works at. She's the head curator at the geological department." He told them with a proud tone, she wouldn't be that alone for much longer. Soon she was going to be responsible for the entire museum.
"When I went to see her the first time I overheard her secretary say she needed to go and pick up her son after a fall at school." Glen started and he could see the daunting realisation filtered across his father's face.
"It wasn't until two days later when I saw a picture of her son. Her name was alongside that of her son. Well, he's actually our son." Glen said with a deep breath, looking at his two very stunned parents.
'God, they're going to skin me alive.' he thought to himself as he thought about all the things they'd do to him when they saw him next which was in a few days. He'd have to be careful when he did introduce Kate that they wouldn't rip her a new one either. She had no fault in this entire thing, only George was to blame. First, he'd screwed him and Kate over. Then their son and his family by them not knowing Arthur existed.
"GLEN JOSEPH DAVID POWER." His mother started as Glen braced himself against the lecture he was going to get. "You have a son with this woman and she's never told you." His mother screeched as he saw the anger in his eyes, surely directed at Kate as she thought she'd kept it from him.
"Mum let me explain?" Glen asked her as she nodded her head for him to go on. "You remember I lost my phone when I got home after Greece. She tried to reach out to me after that like we promised to do." Glen started the explanation as he ran his hand through his hair.
