I apologise for not posting a chapter sooner, but I spent a week and a half in the hospital and didn't have that much energy to write or post things. I hope this chapter will make up for it.

Through the fog of sleep, he heard the door to the bedroom open. "Mummy, I can't sleep anymore." Glen heard the familiar voice of his son carry through the otherwise silent room. He felt Kate still asleep beside him as she had a steady breathing.

"Mummy is daddy gone?" Arthur's voice trembled as Glen leant on his elbows. "I'm right here bud," Glen whispered softly, seeing the form of his son in the darkness. Careful not to wake Kate up beside him he sat a bit straighter. She'd been doing this mostly alone for the last four and a half years, probably never a day off. She more than deserved to catch up on sleep whilst he took care of their son, about time as well.

"Daddy?" Arthur's voice asked in surprise as he rounded the bed and met an outstretched hand of his. "come here bud. but you have to be quiet so we don't wake mummy up." Glen whispered, lifting his son in bed with them. Arthur immediately snuggled into his chest, his arms on either side of his chest. Kate slid a bit closer to them in her sleep as her hand moved to drape across their son's back.

"Are you going to go away again daddy?" Arthur asked him softly, his chin resting on Glen's chest. "No bud," he assured Arthur with a kiss on the side of his head. "I'm going to be here forever and ever. Iwon't be always here cause I have to work," he told him with an honest tone, not wanting to lie to his son to make the truth sound better. Touring meant that he'd have to be away from them and travel for long times. The tour couldn't have come at a worse moment.

Apparently, his son was scared that he was going to leave again. And in a way, he was when he left on tour. But he didn't want Arthur to feel like he'd been feeling in the last five years.

"So you'll be gone soon?" Arthur asked as Glen nodded his head. "Like this week?" he added in question. "Yes, but we'll talk like we've been doing," Glen promised him as he rested his hand on his back, cradling his son into his chest.

"Good, I love you, daddy," Arthur whispered, snuggling into his dad's chest. "I love you to my little man," Glen whispered softly as he listened to the breathing of his son and the woman beside him. Turning to look to his left, he watched the form of his hopefully soon to be girlfriend. Her lips a little apart as she slept, her front against his arm.

"I love both of you," he whispered as he closed his eyes.

Kate woke up when a beam of sunlight shone in her eyes. Opening her eyes slowly she came face to face with a sight she'd dreamt of many times, but had never allowed herself to hope for. But right there in front of her eyes was the man she loved, Glen cuddling their son to his chest, a hand resting on his back. Arthur lying on his stomach across Glen's chest.

The smile on her lips couldn't have lessened even if she wanted to. Her heart filling with warmth and love for the two men in her bed. "Hey." Glen's voice said in a gruff manner as Kate blushed having been caught whilst staring at them.

"Hey." she softly whispered as she moved a bit closer to them so she could rest her hand on Arthur's back over Glen's.

"I could get used to this," he admitted with honesty, his eyes moving between Kate and Arthur. "Me too," she whispered softly with a soft smile on her face. She truly could get used to waking up with Glen in her bed, once in a while her son added to it. "How many days are you staying?" she asked him with a small sigh as she rubbed her face in her pillow, her hand intertwining with his.

"Four days then I'm headed to Dublin for a start and then to Europe," he told her with a sigh as he turned his head in her direction. "Guess we'll have to get used to that if I'm willing to give you a second chance," she whispered with a smile on her lips as a huge grin grew on Glen's face.
