So first of all I want to apologise for not updating sooner. I was hospitalised last Tuesday with a kidney stone and have been in hospital pretty much since then, except for a few hours at home on Friday evening. I hope you'll enjoy this chapter though.

It was amazing to witness the forming and growing relationship between Glen and Arthur. For both of them, it was hard as well, both knew that it could have prevented if George had actually spoken up about it. But both Kate and Glen didn't want to hover too much in the past. It wasn't good to constantly think about the what if's? They couldn't turn back time and they couldn't resolve it either.

They could only move on from this moment in time and rebuild something. Both Kate and Glen, however, had a feeling that Arthur had a feeling of what was going on and that he subconsciously knew that Glen was his dad. He'd finished their UK tour yesterday evening and was currently on the way to London. In a few days, they'd have to continue the tour however in Ireland and finally Europe.

But tonight there were more important things. Glen couldn't think of anything more important than this evening. They were finally going to tell Arthur that Glen was his dad. It would give them five days to tell Arthur and for him to get used to the idea.

Kate could only hope that Arthur wouldn't be too angry with one of them or both of them. She tried to tell herself that he was still young and would be happier about the fact that he knew his dad now. But then again her son wasn't the usual four and a half year old. He was clever and smart and knew a little too much about everything for this moment.

"Is that Glen?" Flynn wondered where he was sat drawing in his drawing book as the doorbell rung. "Probably, why don't you go and open the door?" Kate suggested with a tilt of her head and smile on her face. She watched him jump up as she got the ham and leech dish from the over. "GLEN!!" she heard her son laugh before she heard an 'off' sound of Arthur probably tacking Glen from the moment he'd opened the door.

"Hey," Glen called out as he entered the kitchen, Arthur, on his arm as he walked up to Kate, in his other hand a huge bouquet. Leaning in he kissed her cheek. "You shouldn't have," she told him as he held the flowers out to her and she took a whiff of their amazing scent. "They're amazing thank you," she whispered softly with a smile as she dug around for a vase underneath the sink and started filling it with water.

"You deserve them and so much more," he told her as he watched her dig around for a vase before he put a wiggling Arthur on the ground. "I hope you're hungry," she told him, motioning to the dish on the counter with her head as she put the flowers on the counter for now.

"Famished," he admitted with a chuckle as he patted his stomach. Together they set the table before settling down, just the three of them. "So how have things been here?" he asked her as they ate their dinner.

"Busy," she told him with a small smile. "Between fitting, meetings, work, school. it's been a lot, but I'm used to it," she admitted with a tilt of her head.

"But Jenkins has officially announced he's stepping down next month. I know he's been training me to fill his shoes. Richard is more than happy to pass the job onto me and the board agree with me taking over. I'll be responsible for my own department and the entire museum at the same time." she told him with a chuckle and little-exhausted sigh. "I won't have to explain myself to many people anymore. Still, though it's a scary prospect," she admitted with a chuckle as he gave her a proud smile.

"You'll be great at it. I just know it," he assured her as he squeezed her hand resting it on top of hers. She'd told him about the expansion she had planned and overseen, was still overseeing. The entire plan to make the museum even bigger and better. Get more interactive with children and such. He couldn't help but admire her for having made such a career for herself and still having managed to raise their son.
