Hey guys I hope you're excited for the new chapter. Enjoy.

After Glen left on Monday morning, getting Arthur to see his dad on the screen had disappeared. The weekend they had together, had put the worries Arthur may have had at ease, which was a huge relief to both her and Glen.

Now he'd whine the ears off of Kate the moment she picked him up, asking her to see his dad. It was certainly a nice change from the daily struggle to get him to see his dad. And he seemed to be thriving in a way that she hadn't seen him do, he'd always been bright and thriving with the people around him. But with Glen in his life, it seemed he was complete and he was doing better than ever before.

Kate and Glen were getting closer as by the only means they had, Skype and Facetime. Their connected had deepened by their weekend together as well, their lovemaking had connected them on a deeper level. Her trust in him had grown as well and it was nice to have that back. Their long chat on Saturday evening had been a huge help as well, they had talked everything through in a decent manner. And she'd completely forgiven him at this point, there was only one person at fault her. George, their previous manager, and he was getting what was coming to him as well. She was just biding her time, she wasn't a hateful person at all. But he'd hurt them and her son and she couldn't live with that.

For Kate, it was lovely to come home and tell the person that meant the most to you about your day. It may not be in person, but certainly over the phone. Even if he didn't know or understand half the things she was talking about.

"What's that even Paleogeography?" he'd asked her as she'd started to chuckle, sat across her computer, Glen had just finished his latest concert and she'd stayed awake to be able to see him. Arthur had been the one to talk to him in the previous chat.

"I thought you were a Geologist?" he asked her as she shook her head across the screen. "I am but Paleogeography was the main subject I studied, Paleontology I had to add with another course, but both of them are my specialties. They're very intertwined, it's everything to do in the past of the earth." she'd explained as he simply shook his head. He loved that she was as smart as she was, he loved to hear her talk so passionately about it all. Well not just that but anything she was interested in such normal history, art, philosophy. But he didn't understand half of what she meant most of the time. His girlfriend was a sponge of knowledge. Her degree only scratched the surface of what she knew, she never knew enough and wanted to continue to learn.

But then he knew that she'd struggled a long time to figure out what to study. She'd decided to pick one to make her earn from and the rest she'd study as a side hobby. And then there was the fact that she didn't even have to work from her investments she'd done through Pippa's husband James.

He didn't know how much money she had, he didn't have to know either. But still she'd told him that she wouldn't have to work for her entire life and she would still be able to live a luxurious life and even Arthur would be able to live comfortable from it. She simply didn't want to stop working and he could only admire that about her.

Even though she'd met the lads three times now, she had their number, just in case, she couldn't reach Glen. But in the week between Glen's visit and her going to Belgium, she could truly say that she was getting to know them. And they were one of the funniest people she'd ever met. They had her in stitches throughout the calls as she got to know them and she couldn't help but love them.

Even if it had only been a week, she couldn't help but miss him. In a way being the director did have its advantages. She'd finally realised that she'd been doing the job more or less for a while, without having the official title. She was finally catching up to it, she'd gotten three more assistants who enabled her to oversee a lot more things from her office. She still went around the entire museum all day. Checking in on everyone and they appreciated that she made the effort to make sure their department was up to what it was supposed to be. Not by budding in or anything, no by listening and helping out where she could from buying a new piece of equipment to enabling them to get their hands on something new.
