Unexpected turn of events (the script, Glen Power fanfiction)

Chapter 24

I hope all of you have been celebrating the last couple of days of 2018 and are living forward to a new year with new opportunities. for now I hope that you'll enjoy the next chapter. 

"What are we doing?" Kate wondered as they'd just dropped off Arthur at Danny's for the day. Apparently he was looking forward to spend some time with Arthur. Kate didn't really know what to believe as Glen drove them just outside of London.

"I thought it was time that you and I had some adult time." He told her with a nervous twitch as he parked the car at the Landmark Hotel in Paddington. "What should imagine with that?" she asked him with an amused snort as they got out of the car. "You and me being pampered for an entire day." he told her as she let out a groan of excitement, just at the idea of being pampered all day and having Glen to herself all day.

Yes that did sound incredible. "You like the idea?" he asked her as he slung his arm around her shoulders as she relaxed into his side. "As a matter of fact yes." she admitted, turning her head in his direction to peck his lips. "I'm sorry again for yesterday." she told him, she simply couldn't stop herself from apologising of the two days before. She'd been so horrible to him and he just shrugged it off.

"Love, Had I been in your place I would have done the exact same thing. You don't have anything to be sorry for." he assured her as he cupped her cheek in his hand and she leant into his touch. "Now let's forget about that. Now it's just you and me." he told her as they walked into the hotel and headed for the spa retreat of the hotel. It literally as just what both of them needed. They loved Arthur really, they loved him to bits, but it felt awesome to have it just be the two of them. In all the months they'd reunited it had all been about the three of them, Arthur always included. Except for the two dates they'd gotten over the course of it all. And as she lay between Glen's legs in the hot tub, she couldn't help but let herself relax. the tips of his fingers were running across her lower stomach as she leant her head back against his shoulder.

"I love you." she whispered to him, tilting her head back a little to look up at him with a smile on her face. "I love you to sweetheart. You have no idea how much." Glen whispered, nudging her nose before leaning in to kiss her lips which had Kate turning around and straddling his hips quickly. "We can't, not here." Kate said panting, realising where they were and this was so not the place to have sex.

"Tonight." he promised her as she flashed him a grin, feeling the problem probing against her crotch. "Oh definitely." she grinned, bumping into him which had him pushing up into her as she bit his lower lip. "Come on we have another place to be." Glen told her as they got out of the hot tub and towards the full body massage room where it started off with a hot stone massage. And then their entire body got massaged, all the stress they'd been feeling. In Glen's case from performing and travelling and sleeping on the bus which was to small and the hotel and plane hopping. In Kate's case for the newly discovered exhaustion of her pregnancy, the added stress of her work at the museum. yes both could definitely use a little down time.

"Where are we going now?" Kate wondered, she was wrapped up in a jacket and dressed nicely. They'd gone to their place after their wellness day, expecting they'd go home after picking Arthur up. No such plan apparently as Kate had been told to get ready for dinner. She was told to get something warm along as well. she had no idea what her boyfriend had planned however as she climbed into the car with a driver.

"Just relax." Glen whispered as he wrapped his arm around her back nudging the side of her neck as his thumb rubbed back and forth on her stomach. "It's kind of hard when you don't know where you're going." she told him with an obvious tone as she turned her head in his direction. "Don't worry about anything sweetheart, it's my day to take care of you." he told her with a reassuring glance as she tried to relax and sink against his side whilst doing so.
