"Jake please! I can't keep going to war with you everyday! We live in the same house for fuck sake!" I follow the boy as he ignores me.
My mother was at work helping with the golf course.
The course was still open and they had set up an outside bar until the new club was built.
It's coming along fast, what you can do with money huh.

"Where were you?! After midsummers? You just left me there with people I don't even know! You invited me and then left me!" I watch as he storms out the house.
Fuck it.
"Well you know he kinda has a point Kat" Sage walks round to the fridge as I groan at her.

"I know I know" I lay my head on the counter top.
I couldn't tell Jake that I was-
Well- getting fucked into a mirror by Rafe Cameron.

"So girl- where were you?" Sage folds her arms, I look up at her and I know instantly that she knew.
I don't know how? But she knew.
"I was at Sarah's beach house, I needed my bag and I was tired" I leave out the part about Rafe.

"Hmm sure" Sage laughs, god she was so good at this.
"I wasn't in a good mood ok! Rafe drove me to the beach house and then home-" I play with my fingers as I speak.

"So that's all that happened?" Her brow raises and I couldn't fess up.
I just couldn't-
"Yes that's all that happened!" I huff in annoyance.

"I'll go find him" I grab my key as I walk out.
It was one of the cooler days but people were still on the beach.
I try call and texting him but no answer.

I text the group chat.

Pouges: Pope, Sarah, J, Jonny boy and Kie.
'You guys with Jake?'

Kie- 'nope? Why?'

Kat- 'just wondering'

J- 'he's at the golf course, I saw him when I was doing deliveries with Pope.

Kat- 'ok thanks JJ'

Why the hell would he be at the course for?
Maybe he was talking to my mother.
I make my way over there and stop when I get to the entrance.
They probably won't even let me in-
The course was really big so I doubt anybody will see me.
I try spot the tall brunette boy, but couldn't find him.

I was about to give up until I see him at the far end course.
The furthest one from the bar and the club.
"Jake! Hey Jake!" I try to call him from a distance but he must've not heard me.
That or he was choosing not to hear me.

I finally reach him "Jake please let me explain-"
He turns around putting the golf club up over his shoulders holding it.
Waiting for me to speak.
"I'm sorry ok- I shouldn't of left you uh there isn't a excuse" I tried looking at his face but it was too hard.

I didn't realise how nervous he made me.
Maybe because I thought I was about to loose my friend or? I dunno.
"I was tired and it was stupid so I just left - I'm so sorry" I look up as he tenses.

"You left me Kat- like it's fine if you were tired but you should've just said? I don't get why you just left me?" His voice was more calm and understanding.
That's when I hear a laugh.

I look behind Jake to see Sam and Rafe.
Oh god.
"Get use to it bud, she does that a lot" Rafe's smirk was so big that it probably hurt having to carry it on his dumb stupid face for so long.

"What's this got to do with you?" Jake turns and I see his body language instantly turn hostile.
"Oooh" Rafe laughs as he sets up for another shot.

"You're such a dick" Jake said under his breathe before turning back.
"What did you say huh?" Rafe pushes Jake in the back making him stumble forward.
