Y/n pov:
The jet landed in the palace's privet airport, and we all got out, to be greeted by the king's royal guards who then, made path for the king.
"My friend! welcome back to Wakanda" said king T'chlla happily
"it's good to be back my dear friend" i said as i descended down the steps of the plane and hugged the king
"Y/n!" said Shuri excitedly as she ran towards me from the palace
"Shuri!" i exclaimed as i ran towards her, and engulfed her in a hug
"the second my brother told me that you were coming i couldn't contain my excitement" she said and i giggled
"so where is your friend that needs help?" she said and i turned ready to introduce her to Bucky only to seem him buried in traditional Wakandian welcome necklaces, and burst out giggling. i then took Shuri's hand and pulled her towards Bucky
"Shuri this is my friend Bucky" i said as Bucky extended his hand from underneath the flower necklaces it was buried under
"Hi"he said shaking her hand
"Bucky is-" i said but she cut me short
"i know who he is, and we have everything prepared, all i need to continue is the 'ok' from you two" she said and Bucky nodded his head, so she turned to me
"let's do this" i said and we headed to the lab.
"this won't be an easy process" she told us all
"and it definitely won't be short " she said and Pietro replied
"what like a month?" he asked and she giggled
"6 to a year, maybe more" shuri and Steve grabbed buck's shoulder
"don't worry though it won't be painful" said Shuri and Bucky sighed flicking Steve's hand off of his shoulder making me giggle. we got to the lab and Shuri told Bucky to get into the clothes they got him. he quickly changed into them in the bathroom and came back to us and stood beside Shuri
"if any of you have any last words to your friend I suggest you tell him now" she said and Steve marched towards Bucky and engulfed him in a hug.
"see you soon jerk" he said and Bucky chuckled letting a tear slide down his cheek
"see you soon punk" he said and Steve let go making room for me, so i stepped up and engulfed Bucky in a hug
"i know i may not know you for long, but i know you long enough to say that you're my friend" i said letting a tear silently fall to the ground and buck hugged me tighter, which made Steve jealous for some reason, boosting Pietro's ego even more.
"thank you Y/n, you have no idea how much this means to me" said Bucky also silently crying
"you're welcome" i said letting go and Bucky looked at Steve with teary eyes
"listen here punko if i wake up from what ever the hell i am about to be put into and you're not engaged to her i'll kill you, and marry her myself" Bucky whispered as Steve hugged him tightly
"who'll help me pick the ring?" he whispered silently so only Bucky could hear
"you know exactly what ring punk" he said letting go, and Shuri opened the device for Bucky to step in
"you are one step closer to freedom" she said and buck stepped into the device and waved his hand at us. we waved back at him, as Steve grabbed my waist in a one sided hug. the device closed and Bucky dove into a coma or something of some sort. when we went out of the lab, and I pulled Steve into a hallway away from the others.
"we can stay here you know..." i said and he his furrowed brows
"what?" he asked confused
"we can stay here at the palace, and watch him recover as long as it takes..." i said and he leaned in and captured my lips in a passionate kiss, cursing my lungs for needing air to survive, i pulled back and leaned my forehead on his.
"i love you..." he said out of breath
"i love you too..." i replied pecking his lips
