When You Least Expect It

The last few months have flown by and we are just a few weeks away from finishing the movie and this is the weekend that Wren is coming to visit as is Andrew's brother wife and their kids so we have plans for that. Wren flew in yesterday with my mom letting him fly solo but I picked him up from the airport. He's coming with me to set today which he's really excited about "So I got you something for today my costume designers on set helped me a little and I know Willow made you one for Halloween last year which was pretty amazing but this one is made from the same material as Andrew's and completely one of a kind made for you" I say and hand him the bag and he opens it "A Spiderman suit" he says "With built in webshooters just like Andrew's" I say "Awesome" he says "Go put it on Spiderboy" I say.

We arrive on set and head for my trailer "I had them stock it with all your favourites just don't tell mom I've fed you junk all weekend" I say as there's a knock on my door and Andrew comes in "Hey Wren looking awesome in the suit" he says "Can you watch him while I head to hair and makeup" I say "Of course I spoke to Ben earlier and he's up for lunch later but I gotta film all day tomorrow so I said for you guys to go ahead and we'll maybe grab a late dinner or something" he says "Okay Wren I'll be back soon and don't web Andrew too much please the people on the subway were enough" I say "Promise" he says "Good see you soon" I say.

I returned to my trailer covered in webbing from both boys "Your cleaning my entire trailer" I say as we're walking to set "Of course but Wren did start it" he says "He's ten your a grown man" I say "I'm a child at heart you know that" he says "Trouble in paradise you two" Dane says "A minor disagreement. Andrew had a little too much fun watching my brother and he's now trying to blame the mess they made on a ten year old" I say "Smart move. No one can stay mad at a kid for too long" he says "Exactly my reasoning but I've apologised for it she's just mad at the mess" Andrew says "Whatever Dane meet my brother Wren aka Spiderboy but don't tell anyone it's a secret. Wren this is Dane DeHann he's playing Harry Osborn my boyfriend in the movie and future Green Goblin" I say "Former boyfriend we have our break up scene today" he says "Yes where you go full psycho on me can't wait" I say "We best get to work then" he says. Wren has the best day and even gets to do some supervised stunts in between filming and he's exhausted by the time we get home that he crashes as soon as we're home.

We spend the next day with Ben and his family as I have a day off and we explore the city a little and take the kids to the park and some toy stores. I decide to cook for us tonight to save the hassle of finding somewhere kid appropriate where we wouldn't have to deal with paparazzi following us around which has already happened since everyone's been in town but Wren leaves tomorrow so I wanted a stress free final night for him and me. Andrew is filming late so we did early food for the kids and Andrew's nephew's are sleeping upstairs Wren's room whilst he hangs out in mine watching a movie. Andrew arrives just as we're about to sit down "Perfect timing" I say "I'm starving" he says and he takes his seat beside me "So I'm not my dad but this is his recipe so he will know if you hate it he has a spidey sense when it comes to these kind of things" I say "I'm sure it will be amazing" Ben says and we eat. We have our main meal which was delicious and then there's dessert "So baking is more my thing thank my grandma for that so we have the best chocolate cake you will ever eat with my favourite ever buttercream salted caramel just me on this" with vanilla ice cream" I say and we dig in.

Ben his wife and the kids leave and I make sure Wren is asleep before I head back downstairs "That cake was amazing. I'm requesting that for my birthday" he says "Done" I say and we sit down "Can I crash here I don't think I can move I'm so full and also so tired" he says "Course you can" I say "I like seeing you with my family makes me happy" he says "I like your family too" I say "And I like your family their a little all over the place and loud but you have this incredible bond that I love" he says "Its weird to think that we've known each for almost an entire year and it all started with me admitting I had a crush on you in an interview" I say "Confession time. I knew who you were before we met you knew that I told you that when we first met but I also had a crush on you before then. I'd seen Alice in Zombieland but I saw you in this independent film you'd done before that and I fell for you and I never thought I'd meet you and then there you were and now your my MJ" he says "So we've both had crushes on each other" I say "Yes and I think I still do or I always have even after we've been friends for so long" he says "Same I think I've always felt it but I never let myself have it because we've become so close as friends" I say "Well I say we give this a shot but whatever happens you'll always be one of my best friends" he says and he leans in closer to me and then he kisses me and its the perfect first kiss for us "I really like kissing you" he says "Me too" I say "Is it still okay if I stay" he says "Yeah" I say "Okay I'm thinking we call it a night then" he says "Alright then" I say and we head upstairs  "Goodnight" he says "Goodnight" I say and I go into my room and him into my guest room and everything is about to change.
