Shadow Diver (1)
Into the shadows Raven dove
Realizing, he had wasted too much time
Not checking the area during ride.
Couldn't tell where he could hide.
Narrow alleys, barely bushes.
Torches lit, ground arid,
Cracked where villagers went.
If there were more pets,
He'd never know,
Noises low
Except for rats.
Voices not more than a whisper,
Words too heavy for the wind.
And Raven thought;
"The ground might blister
Beneath weight.
Cannot afford to wait
Longer,
Unease might get stronger."
However, haste
Would ruin everything,
Bring him back
To where it all began.
No, he didn't want
To see that cow again!
