3Gun made his way to the hotel
Time to do some nosing around
He walked through the casino, and asked

In the kitchen, arguing with Lotta
over the menu, and making him mad
3Gun was crushed when he heard him say,
desert salad was bad
Hiding his feelings, he stuck to his job
Asked about guests, and were any about
Satchel said some, he'd get the names,
and left the kitchen with a shout
3Gun knocked and announced his name
Mr. and Mrs. Stone were in their room
They invited him in, and they all sat down
"This is about the death of that woman, I assume."
"What can you tell me?" 3Gun asked
"In the hall we saw that drunken rake.
But we never ever saw the woman."
3Gun knew they meant Jake.

3Gun nodded and left. "That Sheriff's a fool."
