Frank's POV
Another officer arrived and Officer Hooper asked them to take over. She then took me, Chet, Callie, Joe, and Aunt Trudy aside, wanting to talk with us privately. Juliet's parents joined us a minute later.
"Can you confirm that this is Juliet's?" She asked us.
"Yeah. I have a matching one." Callie stuttered, worried for her best friend.
"She doesn't like taking it off." Her dad added, holding his wife close.
"We haven't seen her since sunset, ma'am. We thought she left." Chet commented.
"Davis, go look for Juliet's car in the parking lot, see if it's still there." She ordered.
"Okay, you guys need to tell me what happened." She asked us.
Chet and Callie explained our day but my head was elsewhere. Joe said he was here looking for something, maybe when he saw Juliet and remembered her from the hotel, he took her or something...
"Frank?" Callie called, bringing my attention back, Officer Hooper was gone, checking something with another officer.
"It's my fault." I stated.
"No, it's--" Chet tried to stop me but I didn't listen.
"Yes, it is. If I hadn't stormed off, then you guys wouldn't've split up to find me. And now that I see him, I'm worried because he saw her face, he knew what Juliet looked like. He could've done something to her. I mean, why else does he have her bracelet?" I ranted, freaking out.
"Okay, man. You need to calm down, we still don't know if she went home." Chet said.
Officer Hooper came back and asked me about the man and Juliet.
"Remember when I called you from the Hotel? He was there, he's the one that went after that kid. They saw each other, he didn't see us but he saw her..." I explained.
"Okay, so he knew she was at the hotel that day looking for Ern like he was. Is there anything else you can tell me?" She asked me. I shook my head.
"Hooper, her car's still in the same spot. It hasn't been touched." He informed her.
It was official, she was missing.
Callie cried into Chet's shoulder while her mom cried into her dad's.
"We had just assumed she went home... I'm so stupid. I told her that we'd keep an eye out for her and now..." I ranted.
"Frank, you can't blame yourself here. For right now, we need to put our heads together and think of possible areas he would've taken her. I don't think she's left the property since he's here." She suggested.
"He couldn't've left with her, that'd bring too much attention." Joe said from beside me. I didn't even notice he was beside me but he was worried for her safety too. I put my arm around his shoulder, trying to comfort him.
"Officer, there's something else!" The paramedics exclaimed, coming over to her and us.
He held out a weird-looking circle key and gave it to Officer Hooper.
"'TN Shelter 2'" Joe read out from beside her. Suddenly, Officer Hooper's eyes went wide.
"I got her!" Officer Hooper suddenly yelled out, grabbing all of our attentions.
"Let's go! Fire with me!" She waved at us and a few firemen. We all started running after her. We came up to a small building that was in between the tents.
"The tornado shelter?" Aunt Trudy asked.
We got to the door only to see it blocked by some boxes. The firemen grabbed the boxes and moved them, it took a minute since they were really heavy but they succeeded with help from Juliet's dad. How did the tall man put the there by himself? Especially the one he stacked on top?
