Goddamn Parrot

Ray is seven in this and this is inspired by SimplyTasha on YouTube and Instagram, I think they have TikTok to.

"Ray please don't play with the ball inside the house-"
*SHATTER*
Ray hit the picture with the ball and ran over to ball where the glass was.
"No!"
Ben grabbed Ray preventing her from grabbing the ball.
"You didn't touch the glass right?!" Ben checked her hands making sure there were no cuts, he let out a sigh of relief.
"I'm sorry."
"It's ok, how about you watch TV." Ben set her down on the couch and turned on the TV.
*Ding Dong*
"Coming."
Ben checked the peephole and opened the door.
"Hey B3 and Neo."
"Hey Soft-"
"Hey Soft guess what I got-"
"It's a parrot. He got a parrot."
"Neo your no fun." B3 pouted.
"Oh can I see-"
"Shut the fuck up." The parrot said.
"Um..." Ben was shocked.
"The parrots a asshole, I hate it." Neo said.
"No he isn't, I'm sure Ray will love him." B3 walked over to Ray and Neo came inside. Ben closed the door.
"Hey Ray look."
"Aw how adorable, what's their name?"
"His name is Barnaby, say hi Barnaby."
"Hi Barnaby." The parrot repeated.
"Probably should've told him to say hi Ray."
"Can I play with him?" Ray pleaded.
"Sure, be nice Barnaby."
"Be NiCe BaRnAbY." The parrot mocked.
"You're mean sometimes but I love you." B3 handed Barnaby to Ray and she went to her room.

Ray closed her door and set Barnaby on the table and grabbed some cups and animal crackers. And yes Ben cleaned up the glass.

"Hey hey do you wanna be my friend?!"
"Do you wanna be my friend?" Barnaby repeated.
"I do, your my friend now!" Ray giggled.
"Since you're my friend now I'll give you my favorite animal crackers."
She opened the bag and handed one to Barnaby and he ate it.
"Hey do you want some milk?"
"Sure."
"Here you go." Ray poured some milk in the cup for him and he stuck his head in the cup slurping it.
"You're silly." Ray laughed.
"You're silly." Barnaby lifted his head up.
"I've been called that many times by daddy and papa, though my gym teacher says I'm too silly... she's mean."
"What a asshole."
"Yeah she's a asshole, you get it!" Ray got happy thinking Barnaby understood her.
"Here's some more animal crackers." Ray poured some on a plate and Barnaby started eating it.
"I like talking to you, I hope I'm not annoying you... my gym teacher also says I talk too much. I love talking to daddy and papa but some things I don't tell them like the other day I might've got into a fight after school. I was victorious though, you won't tell anyone right Barny?"
"Won't tell."
"Thank you." Ray hugged Barnaby.
*Knock knock*
"Hey Ray can I come in?"
"Yes."
Pico opened the door and Ray ran over.
"Papa!" She stretched out her arms asking for a hug, Pico smiled and crouched down also stretching his out and Ray ran in his arms.
"Hey sweetheart how are you?"
"Awesome, I made a new friend!" Ray pointed to Barnaby.
"So the idiot really did get a parrot." Pico mumbled.
"Come." Ray grabbed Picos hand and took him to the table.
"This is Barnaby, say hi Barnaby."
"Hi Barnaby."
"Not like that silly." Ray giggled.
"I love talking to daddy and papa but some things I don't tell them like the other day I might've got in a-"
"Barnaby you said you wouldn't tell!" Ray covered his mouth.
"Ray what was he saying?" Pico had a idea but still decided to ask.
"Nothing papa." Ray turned giving a innocent smile.
"You didn't do anything bad right?" Pico raised a brow.
"No."
"Honey-"
"Nothing happened everything's peachy!!" Ray yelled kicking Pico out and closing the door.
"I'm sorry about that Barny, do you wanna color?"
"Sure."
Ray grabbed some paper and crayons.
"Wait can you actually hold a crayon?"
"Can you?"
"Yeah I can, wait... don't eat it ok you'll choke."
She put a crayon in his mouth and held the paper up to him.
"Now move it up and down."
Barnaby moved his mouth along with the crayon.
"Let me see."
Ray turned the paper around and saw scribbles.
"It kinda looks like a tiger."

They kept coloring until B3 came and got Barnaby because they were leaving, the next day they came over again and Ray took Barnaby to her room.

"Hey can I talk to you... you won't tell right?"
"Won't tell."
"Ok... I'm kinda mad at you, papa kept asking me what I did because you said that." Ray pouted but decided to talk to him anyway.
"So something happened at school, there was a new student in my class and I wanted to make friends with her but I guess I messed up... she said I talk too much and I was annoying..." Ray started tearing up.
"Sometimes I wonder if I annoy everyone around me, daddy, papa, Matt, B3, Neo... I j-just wanted to be f-friends with her that's a-all I-I don't mean to be a-annoying..." Ray started bawling her eyes out and she hugged Barnaby.
A few minutes later she calmed herself down by eating some animal crackers because Ray deserves all the animal crackers (Hell I'll even fight the girl who made fun of Ray my damn self.)
"I think daddy and papa caught onto my behavior, they kept asking me if I was ok and I wasn't my usual cheerful self... sometimes I'm not even happy I just act like it. This is something I usually talk to Matt about but he's sick, I hope he gets better soon, I'm kinda tired so I'll give you back to B3... thanks for listening to me." Ray smiled and grabbed Barnaby, she walked out her room and went to the living room.
"Here you go B3."
Ray handed Barnaby to him.
"Hey kiddo you alright?" B3 said with concern.
"Just peachy..." Ray faked smiled.
"Have you been crying?" Neo said also worried.
"No I'm just tired is all."
"Sweetie if something's wrong you can talk to us." Ben said.
"Nothing's wrong who said anything was wrong?" Ray panicked a little but kept her cool.
"Ray..." Pico started but Ray spoke up.
"I'm fine really I'm fine everything's fine-"
"Sometimes I wonder if I annoy everyone around me, daddy, papa, Matt, B3, Neo... I just wanted to be friends with her that's all I don't mean to be annoying..." Barnaby said cutting off Ray, they all looked at her.
"God damn parrot..." Ray mumbled tearing up a little.
"Sometimes I'm not even happy I just act like it." Barnaby said.
"Shut up please!" Ray yelled.
"You shut up."
"Your annoying me..."
"She said I talk too much and I was annoying." Barnaby repeated making Ray extremely mad and tears started rushing down her face.
"Don't you think I already know that?! I know I'm annoying so please stop..." Ray tried to wipe her tears but they wouldn't stop.
"Ray..." Ben tried to hug her but she ran off to her room.
"I'm sorry about Barnaby." B3 apologized.
"Yeah sorry about him being a dickhead." Neo added.
"Dickhead." Barnaby said.
Neo sighed.
"I fucking hate this parrot." Neo said.
Ben went to Rays room.
"It's fine maybe you guys should go for today. We gotta go check on Ray, you can still come by tomorrow though." Pico said.
"Alright see ya."
"Bye."
They walked out the door and closed it behind them, Pico went to Rays room but stopped when he heard Ben and Ray talking.
"Ray please?"
"Y-you don't understand."
"Maybe I'll understand if you talk to us."
"No I'll just annoy you!"
"You won't annoy us."
"You're lying, I am annoying you're just being nice!"
"Ray..."
Pico walked up to Ben and put his hand on his shoulder.
"Ray Barnaby wasn't trying to be mean, he was just repeating what you said." Pico said.
"Really... he said he wouldn't tell anyone though!"
"I'm not sure if he understood what you were saying to him but parrots can be assholes, particularly Barnaby."
Ray didn't say anything back, suddenly she opened the door.
"We can come in?" Ben asked.
Ray nodded and sat on her bed, Ben and Pico sat on the opposite side of her.
"Are you being bullied?" Ben asked, Ray shook her head and hid her face on her plushie.
"You're not lying are you?" Pico asked.
She shook her head again.
"So if we went to the school your teacher would say your not being bullied?" Pico said.
Ray lifted her head up looking forward.
"I'm not being bullied, it's just that I tried to make friends with the new girl..." Ray mumbled.
"Huh?" They both couldn't hear her.
"I tried to make friends with the new girl but she said I-" Ray started crying.
"S-she said I was a-annoying and I-I t-talk too much. I didn't m-mean to be a-annoying..."
Ben hugged her and Pico hugged both of them.
"You're not annoying Ray." Ben spoke softly.
"And you talking a lot isn't a bad thing, also if you want to talk were here sugarplum." Pico smiled.
"Really?" Ray sniffled.
"Mhm." They said at the same time.
Ray eventually cried herself to sleep, they tucked her in and closed the door.
"You okay Ben?"
"Yeah just worried is all. What if she didn't tell us everything?"
"You know who that sounds like?"
"Who?"
"You silly." Pico booped his nose.
"It took a while for you to really talk to me, she definitely gets it from you." Pico chuckled.
"I guess she does." Ben giggled.

Two hours later Ray woke back up and went downstairs.

"Daddy, papa..." Ray whined.
"I'm here Ray what's wrong?" Pico came from the kitchen.
"Papa..." Ray was sleepy and crying a little.
"Want uppies?"
Pico put his arms out and Ray nodded.
"Ok up you go." Pico picked her up and wiped her tears.
"What's wrong honey?"
"Bad dream..."
"It's ok, wanna talk about it?"
Ray shook her head.
"Wanna eat?"
Ray nodded.
"Ok come on." Pico smiled.

Pico took her to the kitchen and fed her, since she was still tired he took Ray back to her bed. Also Ben is sleeping. The next day B3 and Neo came back over with the asshole parrot.

"B3. Why did you bring him again?" Neo asked.
"Remember last time we left him home?"
"Yeah but he made Ray cry."
"MaDe RaY cRy." Barnaby mocked.
"I'm gonna fucking strangle that parrot." Neo said.
"Barnaby!" Ray ran over to B3.
"Hey little munchkin, Barnaby has something to say to you. Say it."
"Barnaby's sorry."
"Good boy Barnaby." B3 praised him.
"Can I play with him?"
"Really even though he was being mean?" Neo said confused.
"Mhm he's my friend." Ray smiled.
"Ok but be nice Barnaby." B3 handed Barnaby to her.
"Be NiCe BaRnAbY." He mocked.
"Don't be a jerk Barnaby." B3 pat Rays head and she went to her room.
"To be honest... I wanted to strangle you but papa told me you probably don't know what I'm saying so I'll forgive you."
"Ok."
"Yay let's have a tea party!" Ray giggled.

🌺 ƒuห ƒคcт คЪσuт яคყ🌺 Ray loves hugs, when she gets up in the morning she always hugs Ben and Pico, though she will ask if it's ok. Another fun fact Ray is really kind but doesn't like when someone messes with her friends or family and would get into a fight defending them. And when she gets insulted she doesn't really do anything or she roasts them, and if someone hits her she's gonna fight back.
