A Day Out

It was a ordinary morning, well that's what Pico thought. He woke up first, Ray's 8.

"Cute." Pico rested his hand on Bens cheek but immediately took his hand away.
"Oh shit is he sick?" Pico got out of bed and came back with a thermometer.
"Softie can you wake up for a minute?" Pico gently shook him.
"Hm?"
"Open up please."
Ben opened his mouth and he put the thermometer in.
"Yep you're sick." Pico took it out of his mouth.
"What no I'm fine." Ben sat up.
"Don't even try it B." Pico layed him back down.
"But we had plans today." Ben pouted.
"We'll have to cancel, sorry Baby Blue." Pico ran his fingers through Bens hair.
"You can go with Ray."
"I can't, there'll be no one here to take care of you."
"I'll be fine." Ben smiled.
"Nope, I'm not leaving you. I'll go get some medicine."
"Ew..."
"Yeah." Pico chuckled at his response and walked out the room.
He went downstairs and saw Ray on the floor eating cookies next to broken glass.
"Honey what happened?!" Pico picked her up.
"Ah... cookies."
"You tried to get the cookies from the cabinet and dropped the mug right?"
"Mhm, it was a accident Ray's sorry." She apologized.
"It's ok- is that blood on your shirt?"
"Ah-um..." Ray looked away.
Pico looked at her hand, he sat her down on the counter and grabbed some bandaids from the cabinet.
"Ray you could've called me." He put the bandage on her hand and finger.
He saw small tears coming out.
"Baby don't cry I'm not mad." Pico smiled and wiped her tears.
"Really?"
"Mhm, next time please don't pick up the glass ok you little munchkin?" Pico pat her head.
"Ok." Ray smiled.
"Alright let's go." He brought her to the living room and went back in the kitchen to clean up the mess.
When Pico was done he grabbed the medicine and a little cup, he went to their room and was about to go in until he saw Ray open the door and walk inside.
"Wait Ray!"
She poked her head out and walked towards Pico.
"Ray wants to say hi to daddy."
"I know but daddy's sick." Pico crouched down.
"Ah. I'll make daddy feel better!" Ray ran back in their room.
"What does she mean by that-"
"Pain pain fly away!" Ray yelled.
Pico stood up and went into the room.
"Honey- are you throwing glitter on him?"
"Mhm, it will help daddy get better." Ray smiled.
Pico chuckled.
"That's sweet but daddy's sick and it would be bad if you got sick to."
"So I can't hug him?" Ray frowned.
"Don't worry when he's all better you can hug him."
"How long will that take?"
"A couple days-"
"That's too long!" Ray whined.
"Ray calm down you'll wake him up, I'll give you hugs."
Ray looked at Pico pouting and turned her attention back to the sleeping Ben.
"Damn that hurt." Pico mumbled.

*Ding Dong*

"I'll be right back- wait." Pico walked over to Ray and picked her up.
They went downstairs, Pico looked through the peephole and opened the door.
"What's up!"
"Hey."
Pico looked at the time and back at them.
"It's 11:20, why are you here so early?"
"B3 was bored and I was to so we wanted to come over."
"Hey Ray what's wrong, was Pico Pie being mean?" B3 asked.
"I wasn't being mean." Pico said.
"Daddy's sick, I want to hug him." Ray frowned.
"I'll hug you." Pico smiled at her.
"I want daddy." Ray looked away.
"Damn she rejected your ass." Neo snickered.
"Watch your fucking mouth in front of Ray." Pico said.
"Pico Pie you just cussed though." B3 pointed out.
"Ah I mean-"
"Cheer up little bean here's some candy!"
Rays eyes lit up with excitement.
"It's too early for candy B3." Pico said, he didn't realize she was already eating the candy.
"Thank you!" Ray smiled.
"No prob, anything for you little bean!"
"Really?"
"Mhm!"
"Can I have a bb gun?"
"A what?" B3 asked confused.
"A bb gun." Ray repeated.
"Um I don't know about that Ray..."
"I thought you said anything."
"Yeah B3 I thought you said anything." Pico taunted.
"B3 you're lying now?" Neo said.
"No- it's just that I don't think a kid should have something like that!" B3 said.
"But that contradicts what you said." Ray pointed out.
"Um- how about a plushie?" B3 hoped she would agree.
"Ok, I'll take what I can get."
B3 sighed with relief.
"Can we go see soft?" Neo asked.
"Sure, can you give him some medicine? I forgot to give it to him."
"Okie dokie!" B3 said as they went to their room.
