Sooyoung's mind is all over the place. She never knew that Hyunjin is her child. She wants to know how her kids were separated. There are a lot of questions that go on in her mind.
How did her kids got separated? Why wasn't Hyunjin with Jiwoo and Hyeju? Or why isn't Hyeju with Hyunjin when she was left outside the orphanage?
She groans as she doesn't know what to think anymore.
Mr. Kim is still with her, still waiting for answers. Mr. Kim was also shocked when Sooyoung mentioned that she didn't know that Hyunjin was also her and Jiwoo's child.
Mr. Kim got really close to the twins and he said that the twins reminded him of Jiwoo when she was still a kid. He got curious and there was a part of him that the twins could be Jiwoo's children. He secretly gets Hyeju and Hyunjin's hair strand and also gets a hair strand from a hairbrush that Jiwoo left in their home.
And he was right when he thought that the twins are Jiwoo's child. Because of it, he thought that Jiwoo had probably already come back and decided to be with Sooyoung but that goes otherwise of what Sooyoung said earlier.
"Are you calm now? Can you please answer my questions now?" Mr. Kim asked making Sooyoung groan again.
"Mr. Kim, I told you, she is not with me. The last time I saw was years ago, exactly two days before we were supposed to be married." Sooyoung truthfully said.
"Then how come Hyunjin and Hyeju are with you now?" He asked.
"First off, I didn't know that Hyunjin is my child too, I was clueless not until you showed me these DNA results. I didn't know that they are really twins."
"I got Hyunjin first, I adopted her when she was three. The nuns at the orphanage said that Hyunjin was left outside the orphanage when she was just three months old. Then I got Hyeju just a few months ago. I was out of town for a show then when I can back, Hyeju was inside my house." Sooyoung said and Mr. Kim frowns.
"How did you know that Hyeju is your child?"
"The ring I gave your daughter when I proposed to her, it's with Hyeju and I saw a letter inside or Hyeju's stuffed animal, it was from your daughter."
"I want to see the letter." Mr. Kim demanded.
Sooyoung just sighs and gets her bag to get the letter. She always have the letter with her and Sooyoung would read it from time to time.
"You! Why didn't you tell me earlier! What if Jiwoo is hurt or even in danger?!"
Just like what Sooyoung expected, Mr. Kim would ask why she didn't tell him earlier.
"I'm sorry, I wanted to tell you but I don't know when to actually tell you. I'm finding the right time." Sooyoung said.
"There's no right time in this kind of situation, Sooyoung. Who's the he Jiwoo kept saying?".
Sooyoung shrugs her shoulder.
"I don't know, even Hyeju doesn't know his name. She just calls him monster." Sooyoung said.
"F*ck this! Let's cancel our meeting for today. I'll see you next week." Said Mr. Kim and left.
Sooyoung sighed and massage her head. She's still processing that Hyunjin is also her child.
After a few minutes, she stands up from her chair and left her office.
"I'll be on a short leave. I'll come back when Mr. Kim will reschedule the meeting. Call me on that day then." She said and leave to go to her parents' house.
She needs them now. She needs someone who can help her and she knows her mom can help her.
As she reached her parents' house, she opened the door and saw her mom with her unnie.
"Oh, Sooyoung! What brought you here?" Asked Sunmi.
Sooyoung didn't say anything and immediately walk towards her mom and hugged her. Sunmi and Mrs. Ha became worried when they heard their youngest sobbing.
"Hey, is there something wrong Soo? Hmm?" Her mom calmly asked while lightly tapping her daughter's back.
Sooyoung still didn't say anything and just hug her mom until she felt like she has no more tears coming out of her eyes. She breaks the hug and instead of answering her mom's question, she took the DNA test and showed it to them.
She then waited for their reactions.
Mrs. Ha and Sunmi both gasp after seeing the results.
"Oh my god?! Hyunjin?! She's your daughter too?! Does that mean Hyeju and Hyunjin are really twins?!" Sunmi loudly asked because of both shock and excitement.
"How do you feel now Sooyoung?" Mrs. Ha asked after 10 minutes of being silent.
"I... I'm so confused mom, like how were my two kids were separated? Did she abandon her? Or is it because of the monster Hyeju kept saying? I just want to see her and ask a lot of my questions." Sooyoung said.
"I feel bad for Hyunjin. I don't know how am I supposed to tell her about it."
"Sooyoung, you don't need to tell her now. At least, we now know about Hyunjin being really your kid and at least we knew that she is safe with us. Give yourself some time out first, hmm? We'll figure out everything, okay? We'll always be here to help you Soo." Her mom said and wiping off her dried tears.
"Yes mom, thank you."
"It's nothing, fix yourself now, you still need to fetch your kids."
"Yeah, they will be worried when they knew you cried. Specially Hyunjin, she'll cry knowing that you cried." Sunmi said and give her sister a tight hug.
After some time of fixing herself, she left to fetch her kids from their school.
"Hag! You're ear- oh? Are you okay? Did you cry?" Jinsol asked as soon as she noticed Sooyoung.
Sooyoung hummed as a response.
"Why? Is everything okay?" Asked Haseul.
"Yeah, don't worry. I'll tell you something on the weekends so go to my house, okay?"
Her two friends nodded their heads, not asking anything more from Sooyoung.
Soon, the bell rings and the kids excitedly run outside their classroom and meet their parents halfway.
Hyeju and Hyunjin excitedly run towards Sooyoung after seeing her smiling at them. Sooyoung open her arms wide and waited for her little angels to hug her. She give them a tight hug and kissed their foreheads.
"How's school?" Sooyoung asked while fixing Hyunjin's hair that is messy.
"It was great mama, we played hide and seek and they found me and unnie last!" Hyeju happily said.
"Oh? You're a great hider then." Sooyoung said and tickled their tummies.
Their laughter filled Sooyoung's ear and she's happy hearing her kids' laughing.
Their little voices is music to her ears.
