Y/N

Lugging my suitcase behind me, the wheels clamour against the stairs as I slam my front door shut. I see Tom shuffling in his car seat with his brother Harry in the passenger seat who were waiting to pick me up for Scotland. The younger Holland waved out the window with a loud and stretched out 'hi' when I then heard Tom scream a 'hello' from inside the Porsche four wheeled drive.

I look at Tom and decline profusely as he elbows his brother to tell him to get in the backseat. I also tell him to stay in the car when I hear him ask if I need help with my suitcase. He's chivalrous yes, but he sometimes gets excessive when offering his help.

I push my suitcase into the boot of the car before jumping into the backseat, sitting in the tiny middle seat to be able to look at both of the boys equally.

"You didn't tell her did you?" Harry chuckled at his brother before my cheery smile faded.

"We uh, we're not flying up to Scotland... I'm sorry I should've told you I had organised train tickets and not just say tickets," Tom said turning around and grimacing at me, squishing his face against the leather car seat.

"Oh, okay that's still cool. I'll get to see the scenery of the country side on the way," I said smiling at Tom as he apologised again.

After listening to the two Holland brothers bicker non-stop about things I had not a clue about, we pulled our luggage through the grand concourse of the station to meet up with the broader Holland family on the train. Having first class tickets of course, gave them the luxury of privacy from majority of the public.

"Are we late or something?" Harry laughed, asking Tom for a quick McDonalds stop before going through to the platform.

"No, it's just fucking dumb because we have multiple courses of food being served on board," Tom said glaring at his brother and continuing on walking through the ticket gates.

I liked watching Tom interact with non famous people such as his friends and family; it made him seem more normal. Of course he wasn't that much different around celebrity figures, but he definitely felt more relaxed. And he swore a lot more.

"You nervous?" He said slowing down to walk alongside me.

"It's a fake relationship Tom, I don't have to worry about your family liking me or not like a real girlfriend would," I chuckled. Yet in reality, I was severely worried about spending the weekend with them.

Boarding the train we were escorted to the first class carriage by a suited up man with gelled grey hair as two other staff members took our luggage to stow away. The older gentleman ushered the three of us to our seats where a loud uproar of greetings boomed from the extended Holland family.

I recognised majority of them from business calls; Tom's father Dominic, Tom's mother Nikki and their younger brother Patrick. On the other hand, there were a few relatives I did not recognise but they were quickly introduced by Tom as they embraced me in a multitude of hugs and handshakes.

Tom's Dad was loud and jovial, a true comedian at heart. His mother was quick with a wit and carefully whispered in my ear that she had my back when she hugged me and said 'long time no see' despite us never meeting in person before. Paddy, whom I had also never met in person, gave me a quick hug and asked 'didn't you wear that jacket last time I saw you?' which also leant into the fact I was a 'real' girlfriend.

I guess the whole Holland family were good actors.

Joining the rest of the family was an Aunt, two uncles, three different cousins of varying ages and of course, the infamous 'Granddad Bob'. He was an effervescent and bubbly old man, pulling me tightly against his chest and tapping me on the back enthusiastically when Tom introduced me.

"You're going to have to have a good ol' talk with me all about yourself and on this trip Y/N, Tom is always so shy when I ask him about the gorgeous young lass he's dating," Bob said sitting back down in his seat and taking deep and content breath.

I sat down in the empty seat with Tom, Harry and Paddy around me, who all held back their smiles when I gave them a 'that was a lot' facial expression at how boisterous their grandfather was. The four chairs face each other in a nice little 'pod' like shape, a table in between us that folded into the wall if we wanted to recline our chairs into beds.

"He's smitten by you already. He was the same with Clark," Harry laughed, leaning his seat back a little and staring at Tom and I across from him.

"Wh- Who's Clark?" I asked naively, before Tom explained to me that his other brother Sam and his girlfriend Clark would meet us at the property since they were already in Scotland.

"How big is this house that half your fucking family are staying there?" I laughed, looking at the first class drinks menu sitting on the table. I thought that flying to Scotland would be quick and painless, but the train ride was going to be multiple hours long and I definitely needed alcohol to calm the nerves.

"It'll be pretty chaotic but there's heaps of land. We kind of just screw around and go shooting and ride quad bikes and go fishing and horse riding or whatever... The uh, the cousins though-" he explained, whispering the last sentence.

"They're little pricks," Harry whispered, making Tom laugh and kick his shin lightly.

"Why?" I said subtly looking over at a boy about Tom's age, a girl about Sam and Harry's age and a younger boy who was barely older than thirteen and completely consumed by his phone.

"They just try and piggyback off the whole fame thing... She's in love with Haz to the point where he's super creeped out by it, he always claims to be an influencer by posting Instagram stories of our family and uh, that little bastard on his phone? He's just a nightmare to be around. Stole my fucking shoes last year, limited edition Air Jordan's..." Tom scoffed, hushing his voice so that they couldn't hear us at the end of the carriage.

"What's their names?" I asked.

"Don't even bother learning them. They stay in their rooms the whole bloody time. Except the older one, that's Jasper. He's the one who always tries to be famous. None of them know about you and Tom's little situation though, so he'll probably try to take photos with you both. So uh, just be mindful," Harry nodded.

Ah, gotta love some family drama. What family doesn't have inside secrets and gossip?
