TOM

Y/N and I had our adrenaline shortly stripped of us when we logged onto a call with our management team. We of course didn't know what was happening until they said 'we have bad news' which obviously meant, this wasn't a good call.

Y/N and I, still in bed nice and warm together, were looking at each other anxiously as we waited for the legal team to join the call. Managers being managers, tried to engage in superficial small talk about the film, our outfits for tonight and what we had been doing in London. Needless to say, our answer were quite brief considering the high tension circumstances.

"Hello all. I understand the time zones between us all can be a bit of an inconvenience so I'll keep this short so we can spend most of our time rectifying the situation. Okay?" One of the lawyers said.

"Situation?" I asked.

"As you know, your contract to date each other ends once the film ends, which means you're both not legally blind to pretend to date. The bad news to this however, is that the United States government did an inquiry into your immigration submission and found that the de facto relationship between the two of you was falsified. They are threatening to suspend both of your working visas for the next three to seven years," he said bluntly.

Y/N and I stayed silent.

"We are engaging our legal team to try and appeal this given both of your careers are mostly US based, but we predict the best case scenario will be that the both of you won't be allowed to re-enter the country for at least 18 months. That's what we are pushing for," he continued.

"That's the best case scenario? You realise majority of all films are shot and produced in the United States right?" I stuttered.

My career is potentially going to be halted for seven fucking years? Not a fucking chance.

"W-what if we get dealt the ten year penalty?" Y/N asked quietly.

"We highly doubt it, Tom is an international super star. They'll be too concerned with the revenue that his films bring the countries economy to deal out the harshest punishment," one of my managers interrupted.

"But I'm not Tom... I'm not super famous, I don't contribute millions to be economy. He has a special famous person visa and I-I just have a standard worker one," Y/N said, her voice now shakier.

I put my arm around her and pulled her into my side, rubbing her arm to try and soothe or console her in any way.

"What can we do to in the meantime to help?" I said cutting everyone off from going down a miserable spiral; trying to be the rock for Y/N in the situation. I know she'd be freaking out at the moment, so I needed to be strong for her.

"Look, what we suggest is for both of you to try and secure work outside of the states for now. That sets you up for the short term. In regards to the visa suspensions, leave that up to us to deal with the legalities. Trust us, you're in the best hands. Nobody will know about this, it won't get to the press, it will just look like you guys are working on films like usual," one of the female lawyers said, her voice soothing and calm for Y/N to hear.

The call ended with them saying they'll give us updates whenever they have them. I guess the positive to having such a great management team, was that neither Y/N nor I had to get involved with the ground work.

I looked over at Y/N who was fidgeting with her fingers and staring down at her hands. She didn't look up or make a sound until I heard her sniffle.

"Hey, don't cry. They're the best legal team we could have right now. We just need to focus on the good stuff okay? Let's make a pros and cons list," I smiled, putting my hand over hers and gripping it tightly.

"Pro, you get to travel the world and work in countries you might not have ever visited before," I smiled.

"Con, they'll get you a low penalty because you're famous and completely forget about me," she sobbed.

"Pro, that's bullshit and they represent yo just as much as they represent me. Pro, you can make your new movie here in the United Kingdom," I grinned, trying to remind her of the good news she had gotten not so long ago.

"Con, I need to tell Magda I won't be coming home and that she needs to keep my cat," she sniffled, still not looking up and now crying properly at the thought of not seeing her kitten again.

"Pro, now that our contract is up, I can ask you to be my girlfriend for real," I said nervously.

And finally, she looked up. Her eyes were filled with tears and her cheeks glistened in the sunlight.

"Really? B-but you're Tom Holland," she whimpered, wiping under her eyes with the sleeve of my jumper she was wearing.

"Yeah... That is my name, you're one hundred percent correct there," I chuckled.

"Why would you want to date me for real?" She sniffled again.

"Because the past four months have been really fun?And I like spending time with you? And you haven't once tried to jump my bones or steal from me which means you're obviously not into me for sex or money?" I laughed.

"It's because I like you and didn't want to sleep with you until our contract ended. What if I was bad at sex and then you were stuck with me legally?" She chuckled, wiping her eyes again and smiling at me.

"Is that actually the reason you haven't tried to do anything with me? Aw darling, why do you think I'm such a monster? I'd never do that... I'm just a normal person!" I whined jokingly, wrapping my arms around her and pulling her against my chest tightly.

I felt her shrug and mumble against my chest before I let her go and asked her repeat herself.

"So uh, we're together for real now?" She asked pushing her hair out of her face.

"If you want to," I smiled.

"I want to."
