"Hey, Y/n. I'm going to go out for a bit. I need to help Antonio get ready. He's going out with his friends."
Camilo said to me as he left the room. We had decided to eat together in his room, and he had now just left his plate in front of me unsupervised.
I glanced over at his plate. He would be mad if I ate some... but, I had already finished my plate and he still had food left. And I was still hungry. Just one arepa wouldn't hurt.
Time skip-
"Sorry, Y/n. Antonio took much longer than I had expected. Anyway let's-" he froze as he saw his empty plate.
"Did you eat my food?" Camilo asked.
"Um..." I looked around scared.
"You ate my food!" Camilo said angry.
"Sorry." I said awkwardly.
"Hmph!" he said pouting as he sat down turning himself away from me.
"Hey, Camilo it's not that big of a deal. Don't you do the same with your family?"
"I would never! I mean sure, I sometimes pretend to be them to get more, but I would never take their food! Even I'm not that evil!"
I felt guilty as he still wouldn't look at me.
"Hey," I said giving him a hug, but he didn't react to it.
What would make him forgive me? I got an idea and walked out the room.
"Hey Y/n! You okay? You look worried." Mirabel greeted me.
"Hey Mirabel. Camilo made some food and we were eating in his room. But I ate his food and now he's mad."
"Yeah, you don't get in between Camilo and his food." Mirabel said walking away.
Great. Now to get on with the plan. I'm so dead.
I walked towards the kitchen, nobody in sight. Good. I quickly went in and began putting a plate full of food. Then I heard a voice, freezing me in my spot.
"What are you doing?" Julieta asked.
Oh no.
"Hey, Julieta..." I said nervously.
"Y/n, are you taking my food? You know I've already banned you from the kitchen." she said, getting angry.
"Yes, but I need to do this!"
"And why is that?"
"I made Camilo angry at me..."
"Camilo's angry at you? What did you do?"
"He made some food for us and I may have eaten from his plate."I said wishing I could bury myself.
"That sounds like something you should deal with without making me angry too." she said shooing me out.
What else. This is Camilo's food we're talking about! Of course he'd be angry if someone took it. I guess I could ask Isabela to make me some of his favorite flowers?
"Hey! Isabela! How are you doing?" I asked nervously.
"What do you want?"
Isabela didn't really like me. Understandable because I tricked her once which ended up getting the entire town full of cacti. It was funny though.
"I was wondering if you could make me a batch of chrysanthemums..."
"Why?" she asked eyeing me.
"Because I want to surprise my boyfriend?"
She gave me a look, telling me she didn't believe my lie.
"Fine. I may have eaten Camilo's food and now he's angry at me. I was going to get him more from the kitchen but Julieta won't let me. So, I think he'd be happy with flowers."
"Fine."
"Really!"
"But!" of course.
"You gotta send this letter to my best friend first. You know the one that lives at the other side of town."
"Fine."
She smiled while handing me the letter to give to her best friend. Who also hated me because of the trick I pulled on Isabela.
Time skip
"Hey, Isabela told me to send you a letter." I said handing the letter to Maria.
Maria took it from me, then told me to wait there. After a while she sent me a letter with a package and I went over to Isabela.
"Here you go." I said handing the package and letter to her.
"Thanks." And with that she gave me some chrysanthemums to give me Camilo.
I ran to his room and barged in running over to him.
"Camilo! I'm so sorry I ate your food! I shouldn't have done that. But I did get you chrysanthemums!"
Camilo took the flowers then jumped into a hug and starting laughing.
"Thanks Y/n. That's sweet." he said happily.
"So, you're not angry at me?"
"Nope. After you left Dolores came in and started telling me what you were doing. It was really sweet that you did all of that for me!" he gave me a kiss on the cheek and I can say that doing all of that was definitely worth it.
