"Movie starts at 5pm. Want to get some popcorn?" Daniel asked, his glossy brown eyes darting into mine.

"Sure." I smiled and slipped my fingers between his. "Hey, you got four tickets."

"Oh yeah." He almost slapped his forehead. "Forgot to tell you. Harry called and he said he'd like to join us. He's bringing his date along too. Would that be okay?"

"Well, you've already bought the tickets." I shrugged.

There he goes again. You can never predict what Harry's going to do next. Him wanting to join us for a movie was bad news, I could tell. He was up to something again. And with a date? Who could it possibly be?

"He's bringing along his date?" I asked.

"Yeah, a girl he recently met." Daniel explained as he paid for our popcorn. "I'm glad he's mixing with the kids here. He's going through a rough time and could use some company."

"He's quite jolly for someone who's going through a rough time." I said as I popped a piece of popcorn into my mouth.

"He doesn't show it." Daniel laughed. "But he's sore because our Mum banned us from music."

"Really? Sounds harsh."

"Yeah, it's actually my fault. It was because I was drunk on the night of the festival." He explained. "If I were him, I would hate me. But he seems okay with me. He's a good chap." He chuckled.

I almost spat out my chewed popcorn. Daniel thinks Harry is so innocent. If he only knew what he'd been doing...

"Oh wow..." I mouthed.

"And our parents' divorce has had quite a massive impact on him. He's taking things hard. He's always been extremely close to our Dad and he's mad at our Mum for bringing him away. He thinks we moved here so I could be close to you."

"Oh..."

"Which is partly true. But I didn't mean to be selfish in any way. I think he secretly really hates me."

"Daniel, you have nothing to be guilty about. You guys just moved here because it was convenient. I'm sure he'll get over it soon enough."

I think I finally know the core reason that triggered Harry's notorious antics. He does secretly hate Daniel. I think he might be trying to steal me away from Daniel... as revenge.

Then from the corner of our eyes, a tall figure accompanied by a smaller one appeared. Harry arrived with Polly. They were hand in hand. He smiled as he swiped his hazel curls out of his face. Polly had worn a mini-skirt and a tightly fitted t-shirt. She squealed when she saw me.

She let go of Harry's hand and ran to me. "Hel, this is going to be so fun. We haven't had a double date in years!" She bit her lip.

"Oh... when did this happen?" I asked, slightly confused.

"Last night." Harry answered. "We were hanging out at the bowling alley and found out that we had so much in common." He tried to imitate Polly's squeaky voice. They just found out they had so much in common now? What about the night they 'spent together' in the tent?

"That's great." Daniel added. "Come on, the movie's starting."

Polly hugged Harry's waist tightly as we entered the cinema hall. Although it was dark inside, I could see Polly making her usual sudden jumping movements. We went up a few steps as we searched for our row.

We slid in the fourth row and found our seats. Daniel and I sat together, Harry sat on my right and Polly was on Harry's right. I was probably the only one feeling the tension. I was under pressure for some reason. Maybe it was because I was squeezed between my boyfriend and his brother who had unethically kissed me and pretended to be my boyfriend. Sigh, I just love life.
