My father and mother stood infront of me while I sunk into the couch. The tension in the room was nerve wracking. My mother had her hands on her waist - which is something she does when she's apprehensive. My father's arms were crossed, his vicious eyes staring me down.

"So... what did you guys want to talk to me about?" I asked, trying to smile.

"You lied to us, Helena." My father begun as my mother slowly shook her head.

"W-what?" I faked a laugh. "I wouldn't lie to you guys about anything."

"There. You lied again." My mother sighed.

I chewed my bottom lip. "What is it, guys?"

"Do you know how embarrassed we feel to find out from a text message sent from someone anonymous that our daughter had been dating a twenty one year old drunk?" My father narrowed his eyebrows.

"Dad, you got it wron-"

"Let me speak. We wouldn't be this angry if the story had just ended there," He continued. My palms started to sweat, my fingers digging into the material of my pants.

"But we also found out that you weren't really dating that Harry kid. You pretended to date him so you could get away with dating his drunkard of a brother!" His hand went up to his forehead and gave it a quick bump. "What on earth were you thinking?"

"You kids played the fool out of us! And we were inviting Harry to dinners like idiots." My mother added.

I don't know how but my parents had found out everything. I felt like bawling my eyes out at that moment because, to them, I was this perfect kid. The kid every other parent wanted. But maybe this is a wake up call to them. It's time for them to know that I can't be perfect. And I'm sick and tired of pretending to be.

"Look, to normal parents, this wouldn't be a big deal. Every teenage kid does something wrong in their life every once in a while but they learn from it. The only reason I lied to you is because you guys are so overprotective!" I retorted.

"What do you mean normal parents? You mean parents who let their kids get pregnant and do drugs? Is that what normal is these days?" My father raised his voice.

"You guys are so difficult! Ugh!" I slid my fingers into my hair and lightly pulled it in distress.

"Oh so now you're angry? You've just lost our trust, Helena."

"Fine I'm sorry I can't be perfect, okay? And by the way, Daniel isn't a drunkard. You just caught him in a rare moment." I told them.

"Oh really?" My father pulled out his phone from his pocket and showed it to me. A video of Daniel sipping from a beer bottle was playing. The next scene showed him getting on top of a table and dancing.

I pushed the phone away from him. "Where did you get that?"

"This video, along with many pictures and text were sent to us from an unknown number. I can't believe so many people know of this." My mother added.

"I-I can explain. He isn't always like this... he's-" I started to sob. My vision was getting blurry from the tears building up in my eyes.

"We know exactly how he is." My father toned down his voice and sat beside me. "We don't mean to embarrass you in any way, but this is the truth you need to know. You're young and yes, young people make mistakes but now you know that this guy isn't meant for you." He put his arm around my shoulder.

"But Dad, he's a nice guy." I explained.

He sighed and showed me more pictures of Daniel. He was partying in what looked like his dorm. He looked ferociously drunk in every picture.

Then there was a video where Daniel and his friends were seated in a circle. He was still drunk, I could tell. They looked like they were playing truth or dare. They were cracking up and couldn't sit still.

I watched it until the part that shattered me into pieces.

Daniel was dared to kiss a girl. He was giggling as his friends nudged him. He leaned in, grabbed the girl by her waist and planted a kiss on her lips.

Karma does exist.

I didn't think anything of it when I kissed Harry for the truth and dare game since, you know, it was only a game. I didn't know how much it would hurt a person. If Daniel had seen it, I'm sure he'd feel the same way I was feeling.

I've always thought of Daniel as this angel. He was so pure, so innocent - or so he looked that way. I didn't expect him to do anything to hurt me. Yes, I know he was drunk and that it was a dare. But it still hurt so much.

I started to bawl my eyes out. The tears streamed down uncontrollably. "I'm sorry we had to show you this, honey. But you needed to know." My mother wrapped her arms around me.

I think if I had heard that Daniel did something like that, it wouldn't hurt as much. I would've just forgiven him because I've done the same thing. But to see it with my own eyes... it was so painful. I needed to know which cruel creature sent these. Now everything has fallen apart.

I cleared my mind and thought of all the possible people.

Harry.

Of course it's him. He's been scheming to destroy our relationship. I can't believe I was actually... falling for him. That sinister imp!

"Show me the number." I demanded, wiping away my tears. I snatched the phone out of my father's hands and looked at the number. It wasn't Harry's number but of course he used another caller ID.

"I need some air." I told my parents before heading out the front door. Before they could say anything, I pulled the car out the driveway. My nails dug into the steering wheel as I drove. I was fuming.

Daniel said Harry would be out with his friends at the bowling alley. So I drove there. I didn't care who was there, I just wanted to confront him and possibly beat the shit out of him.

I arrived in a few minutes, as the alley was just around the corner. I locked the car and stormed into the alley. My eyes darted around to search for a mop-haired imbecile.

I saw him with Zayn and Niall. Harry was about to throw a bowling ball when I snuck up on him. "I hate you." I almost shouted. It resulted in the ball slipping out of his fingers and falling onto Niall's foot.

"What the hell! Ow!" The blonde haired boy called out in pain.

"Sorry, Niall!" He quickly apologized before turning to me. "Hel, what's wrong?"

"You told my parents!" I raised my voice. People turned to look but I didn't care. I was ferocious.

He ran his fingers through his curls and looked around in embarrassment before tugging on my arm. "Don't touch me!" I barked as I tried to pull out of his grip. He pulled me to a corner where no one could see us.

"Y-you sent those videos to my parents! You told them everything!" I cried.

"Woah, woah. What are you talking about?" He held onto my arms to calm me down.

"Stop pretending, you jerk!"

"Look at me, Helena. Look." He tilted my chin up and I was met by his bewitching emerald eyes. Something about them made me believe him. "I have no idea what you're talking about. I'm serious."

Harry's thumb swiped across my cheek, wiping the tears. "Tell me what's wrong." He said in a low voice.

I felt the tears coming on again. I moved closer to him and dug my head into his chest. I continued to cry in his embrace. My hands rested against his chest as he wrapped his arms around me. He held me close. I felt comfortable in his warmth.

"It's alright." He whispered. "Let it all out."

I shut my eyes as I tried to calm myself down.
