Tama the cat

Time travel is real and all of history is vulnerable to the attack of rogue time travelers, but one group travels throughout time to stop the spread of these so-called time aberrations and erase their damage to history. A group of outcasts and misfits, these individuals aren't heroes, they're something else, They're Legends.

And I am Tama, an immortal tabby cat. I have had many masters in my lifetime, but never as unique and peculiar as these humans. How did I become the beloved cat mascot of the Legends of tomorrow you ask? Well, where to begin?

The year was 1641 in a place that you humans called Japan. I was watching over a family of 2, Masako and her father. Masako's mother was my most recent master, her last will was for her daughter to be able to find happiness. So I won't leave until her will was fulfilled. That day Masako came home with a strange man, he was dressed in weird garbs. He spoke our language yet his speech was very peculiar. Once Masako finished bathing the strange man I walked up to him, sniffing him. He smiled and petted me "Hello little guy".

"Masako-san, a word please " A voice came through the door. Oh no, the Shogun's men are here. I sat down in the corner as I watch the Shogun's men talk to Masako. The strange man then made a move to walk out, I tried to block his path with my body yet he stepped over me. What is the strange man doing? He is going to put Masako in trouble. I watched helplessly as he provoked the Shogun's men, I shook my head as the samurai brought his katana down on him. 

I sat beside the strange man's head as Masako's father inspected him. The strange man fainted from blood loss, all I could do was lay beside him as Masako called his name.

I watch as Masako bandaged him, they were conversing about his disease. Then the strange man made a move to kiss Masako, Oh no no you will not be doing that strange man. I readied my paw to smack him- " Nate, you're alive"

Three people came in 2 woman and 1 man. They seem to know the strange man. They greeted the new humans, but they seem hasty to leave. I followed them out and listened in to their conversation, they were talking in a language common in the West. Hmm, it has been a while since I've been to the West, I was jolted out of my train of thought when I heard strange ma- no Nate, say that the shogun was going to kill Masako.

What?!? No! The Shogun will not harm Masako, Not on my watch. Yes Nate I agree, We can not let the Shogun harm Masako. Nate and The tall man left to train for the upcoming battle, and I decided to follow the new human woman. The humans were herding the villagers into the gate, I walked up to them and the blonde one let me sniff her before scratching my head. And one of the human offspring touched the blonde human, the women walked as they conversed with me in the blonde human's arms.

"My village was also small and isolated. Some would say my people we're superstitious, but we were protected" The one black-haired human said, "protected by what?" Asked the blonde human. The black-haired human told the blonde human the tale of her people, and how she was recruited to the JSA. Hmm, what is a JSA I wonder?

*clip clop clip clop* my ears perked up as I heard a horde of horses coming our way. That must be the Shogun coming to take Masako away. *Meow* I tried to warn the human women that are carrying me. Amaya, the black-haired human, simply petted my head. No! I place my paws on her knees, Shogun men are coming! Run human!

Footsteps of the samurais we're getting closer, I watch as Sara, the blonde-haired human, confronted the samurais alone. These strange western humans are very bold, how could a human woman face-off with so many samurai? I hope she does not die, I have grown quite fond of the human.

4 people charged at Sara, and she took them down with Elegance. Sara is a very skilled human, not only her, Amaya seems to be very powerful as well, her powers are beyond what I've seen in my long immortal cat life. One of the men tried to stab Amaya from the back, I launched my body from the branch that I had been sitting on, scratching his face with my sharp claws *Hiss*. The human that Sara has been calling Mick came and took down the last 2 samurai, He seems to have changed his clothes into one of the ninja's garbs. Shogun's right-hand man ready his sword, he and Sara charge at each other. The Samurai collapsed, blood coming out of his mouth. I went up to Sara, *meow* I rubbed my body on her legs, she picked me up and scratched my chin. "Hey little guy, thanks for the save," Amaya said as she pets me, *meow* I meowed back in delight.

I watched Masako from the top of a branch, the Shogun is no longer a threat, Masako and her father may now live in peace. I hope she finds happiness in her life, and with that, I can now leave the Yamashiro as my promise to my late master has been fulfilled.

With a sway of my tail, I disappeared into the shadow, reappearing not far behind Nate and Mick. They approached a large metal vessel, huh very peculiar humans indeed. I slipped in right before the hatch of the vessel could close fully, I was greeted with a bright and foreign interior. I ran around the vessel when I found a large room with all the humans gathered together sitting in strange chairs.

Suddenly a loud voice seemingly from nowhere spoke up "Captain, it seems we have a stowaway on our ship"

*meow* I loudly meowed as it seems that I have been caught. "Oh hey isn't that the cat from feudal japan," Said Nate as he picked me up in his arms. "Huh it is isn't it" Amaya spoke as she scratched my chin. A young-looking human spoke up " Hol up wait, we gotta put it back where it belongs. *Hiss* No! I want to stay here, "wow, seems like it doesn't want to go back Jax" Replied Ray. "Yeah Jax, Can we keep it Capt? Please" Nate said, "yeah, please" Continued Ray. "Ugh fine, we can keep the cat" "Yes!" "But! You have to care for it, no poop are to be left lying around" "Aye aye captain!"

Sara picked me up from Nate's arms "Well we need a name for this guy...Huh, he has a collar. Ta..ma...Tama, well Tama welcome aboard to The Waverider"

A/N: Well hello my lovely people, have you ever wondered how it would be if the legends had a pet? Well, I present you Tama, Tama is an immortal orange tabby cat. He has lived for a looooong time, how long? Who knows. This chapter took place in the second season episode 3 "Shogun". This story will be told from Tama's POV, You'll see more of Tama's backstory as the fic progresses, so strap up because our little cat is going on a wild ride with the legends.

Oh by the way, for my Nyssara shippers, Nyssa will join the legends somewhere in the future so do look forward to that.
