Chapter 49~ a whole new world

Chapter 49:

Lauren's pov:

" okay Ariana is going to bring you through some things with spying and bomb keeping. I'm going to be working with Alfredo and Ana, tomorrow we are going to your old house, then on Tuesday the club is going up and we are finding Paul, are you ready?" Jason asked.
" sir yes sir." I saluted him.
" take this seriously." He laughed and kissed me.
" I will, is Ariana downstairs?"
" yeah, I gotta finish getting dressed, I'll see you later."
He said putting a beanie on, he was wearing black jeans with a black and white shirt that said Newyork New York across the top and bottom. He looked good.

" hey." I met up with Ariana in the kitchen.
" you ready?"
" yup."
" alright grab your coat let's go."
" go where?"
" I'm taking you training silly." She threw me a coat and grabbed her keys.
" we are taking Jason's car because they will know who we are."
" who is 'we'?"
" the guys, you're about to meet the rest of the gang dude." She pulled out the driveway and sped down the road.
" where do they train?"
" in Pennsylvania, I know a quick way to get there, we will be there in like 2 hours tops."
" it's a 7 hour drive."
" not when you're Ariana." She laughed as she hit 100 mph.
" god bless."

~ 2 1/2 hours later~

" wait so you're saying that when you were in elementary school you were scared of getting your period so you asked your mom if you could go on birth control?" I laughed my face started getting red.
" don't make fun of me! I thought if I got my period I was going to get pregnant!" Her face got red and she laughed too.
" did you let you go on birth control?"
" yep."
" oh my god." I laughed.
" we are here." She pulled up to a barn looking place, it was big but not what I imagined.
" there is gonna be some weird ass dudes in here, I have some work to do in the back, I don't know if you remember him, but joe is gonna bring you through a corse, then I'll take over."
" alright!" I got out but she stopped me.
" don't mention anything about Paul being related to you, and don't mention jake being your ex boyfriend okay?"
" okay." She let me go and we went inside.

There was about 35 guys inside, a couple working out in a separate room, and some guys doing combat. There was a basement that had a sign saying head and eye gear so I'm thinking that might be a shooting range... There was a course that looked like a military corse that trained soldiers.
I was not ready.

" hey joe." Ariana waved and he jogged over. I remember him now, he is the guy who cleaned me up at darriss's.
" joe this is Lauren, Lauren this is-"
" we have met already."
" yeah."
" okay well joe show her around, I have some quick things to add into the bomb I'll be back." She smiled and left going up the black metal stair case over by the workout rooms.
" holy shit." I looked around.
" yeah it's nice. How are you doing?" He Asked walking through the place with me.
" better, I never got to thank you for helping me that day. So umm thank you." I smiled and looked over at him.
" it's my job hun. You're welcome, looks like you healed all up, no more pain?"
" still slashed." I lifted my shirt so the slash was noticeable.
" Ow that looks painful."
" well doesn't feel good."
" let's get you stretched first, we don't need you getting hurt." He said walking over to a padded floor.
" Is this what you do everyday?"
" it's actually not bad. There's a shooting range downstairs and workout room, some days we just chill. We all have separate jobs. It's like a spy job, to collect information."
We both started to stretch, it was hard to stretch my legs cause I was adding pressure on my stomach but i sucked it up.
" alright, I'm gonna program a quick mission then be right back to show you, JEFF, TONY, NOAH COME HERE." He yelled out.
" they will be your enemies in this, I want you to meet them so you don't get nervous."
" okay."
" you must be Lauren."
" Jason's girl aye?"
Two boys said.
" uh yeah." I gave a frown.
" Kay well I'm tony." A guy with dark spiky hair said.
" I'm Noah." Blonde and blue eyes.
" and I'm Jeff." Brown hair and eyes.
" nice to meet you."
" we won't go too hard on ya." Jeff smirked.
" probably nothin I haven't been in yet."
" what you mean?"
" nothing, let just do this." I said as joe walked towards us.
" when you walk through the course walls will pop up, go around or through the door they provide, if you see one of the guys, you're going to shoot the laser at them. It's simple once you get used to it. This wristlet will monitor where you are at in the corse, if at anytime you get nervous and panic take it off and the walls will go back down." Joe put the light metal wristlet on me then turned it on, a screen popped up in front of me and he programmed that some more information I don't feel like learning about. Then he gave me my laser gun, this shall be fun.
" be serious, the beginning is right here, we will do different courses with different scenarios, this one is you are just going in and killing then leaving, a hit and run. Ready?" He opened the door that popped up in front of me.
" yep."
" go ahead, you're being timed." I walked In and the house started to be put together as I walked, it was all technology screening ( take for instance the hunger games: catching fire, when katniss is shooting the guys in training.)
It was cool but scary.
I walked down a hallway, I heard two guys talking so I got close to the wall.
" I think she's close"
" yeah get ready."
There were two guys in there, where is the third?
I did a quick somersault across the door and pass it so the guys wouldn't see or hear me.
There was another hallway that lead to another room. The last guy was in there not paying attention so I shot the laser at him. My wristlet dinged and said my time was 2 minutes.
I didn't want to get more than 5 mins so I went back the way I remembered. I peered in the room and the guys were faced the opposite direction of the door so it would be easy for me to shoot them.
I creeped down the hallway.
" weapons down, you're doing combat, drop the laser gun." A voice from the wristlet said.
Combat really, they gonna make me do this.
I put my laser down and walked into the room and the guys were standing there.
Tony had a gun but wasn't pointing it at me.
" you need to be able to distract him so he doesn't kill you, don't forget combat." Joe said over the wristlet.
Jeff started to walk towards me. When he lunged toward me I moved aside and kicked him to the wall. Tony shot the gun at me but I fell to the ground before it reached me, it hit Jeff and "killed" him so it was just tony and I. Jeff walked out so it was face to face.
" you can give up now?" Tony said.
" ha in your dreams." I threw a vase at his hand and he shot at me first but then dropped the gun, I ducked when the shot came at me so I was still in.
*8 minutes in*
I really wanted to get below 10 mins so I dove for the laser but tony stopped me. He tried holding me back but I kicked him aside and he fell to the floor. I ran to the gun, pointed it at him and shot him in 30 seconds to spare.
* good, now you need to get out of a burning house, 10 second head start.* my wrist spoke to me.
" 9"

I ran out the room and down the hall, the door was crowded by a couch and three Chairs.
"6"
I threw the chairs out of my way and started to move the couch.
" 2"
"1"
Just as it said 1 a flame of fire came dodging at me and set the couch on fire.
" shit."
I ran back to the hallway and to the back room, I remember there being a back door which there was, but the knob was off.
How am I getting out of here?
Fire started to fill the hallways and I started to feel trapped.
I don't do good with trapped. It was getting hot and my senses kicked in. There is a window!
I took a couple steps back and ran through the window, there was a glass shattering sound, but when I got out joe caught me before hitting the ground.
everyone was surrounding the course, they looked at me like I was some goddess or something.
" who are they looking at?"
" you just completed one of the hardest courses, along with the two Most trained dudes, this is about the most impossible course."
" really?"
" yeah."
" wow."
" what's going on out here?" Ariana came over.
" get back to work guys!" Ariana turned around dismissing the guys.
" she just completed level 25 with Jeff, tiny, and Noah. Under 10 minutes."
" what the hell, has Jason brought you through things?"
" yeah some things, you guys need to update that if that's all you got." I laughed.
" she had to deal with jake for her first mission." Ariana said to joe.
" yeah then she had darriss, I remember helping her." Joe said.
" so now what?"
" I'm gonna help you and bring you through spying gear, then we will set up at a course."
" sounds like fun." I smiled and walked with Ariana to the stairs.
" Jason will be coming here in three hours to have a meeting with everyone. We will set up the meeting room after I show you some stuff okay?"
" okay. What time is it right now?"
" it's only 10 in the morning."
" damn. Alright let's get going."
Ariana opened a door to a hallway and locked the door and went down the hall to another room.
" where are we?" The room was small and empty with just a desk and three chairs. She shut the door and went over to the desk and opened the top drawer.
" Ariana I'm not good in small places." I said sitting down.
Then all of a sudden the walls started moving up and we were going down.
" we are going down to the equipment lab." She grinned.
You know I wondered this about where Jason kept all this stuff. He's smart really smart not keeping it close to his house.

When we got there the door opened and we were opened to a huge room with maybe 15 guys working on things.
" hey Ariana, is this her?"
" yeah Tom, hold on I'm gonna bring her around then you can measure her."
" okay."
" tom whose tom?"
" that was tom, he is a fashion stylist, he's gonna measure you for your drop wire. We don't need that snapping."
" oh no we don't."
