Chapter 54:

Lauren's pov:
" what the hell? You almost took me out." I said standing up.
She shook her head.
" the dart." She said quietly.
" the dart?"
SHe nodded her head, I kept my eyes on her but I went over to it.
~ they have a chip on me, and a microphone, it was Nick, I have to question you, don't give anything away about the mission, they don't know anything about it. I'm sorry for what I have to do or they will kill us both ~
I looked at her and nodded.
" so how are you feeling?" She asked coming over to me.
" I'm feeling better, I had a nightmare. I've been having nightmares a lot lately. "
" that's not good."
" I know."
" hey though um you never told me what you found at Paul's house." Ana said in a gesture to show this is the questioning.
" well I mean I didn't really find anything, if he has anything hiding it has to be somewhere else, I went into my room though and grabbed some clothes and stuff like that."
" oh, so you didn't find anything?"
" nope, he might be hiding it in my mothers office but that's locked and I don't have the key so."
" I gotcha, well aren't you tired?" Ana asked.
" uh not really, I'm just going to watch tv for a second."
" I'm so sorry." She took something out and stabbed my leg with it.
" OWW WTF ANA!?" I said pushing her away.
I saw her stand up and leave.
" Jason!" I tried to scream but I couldn't.
" jas-" my eyes started to closed before I was out I saw the basement door open, and a guy was walking with Ana.
But that's all I could see before my eyes shut.

Jason's pov:
When I was walking upstairs I saw Ana walking downstairs but she looked strange, I'm still pissed at her so I ignored her and went to my room.
I'm going to be way to tired for this mission tomorrow if I don't get some sleep.
I wanted to get up and get Lauren to come upstairs but I know she'll come up on her own, she just slept for a couple hours she's probably wide awake.
My eye lids got heavy and I closed my eyes.
It was maybe only 5 minutes of silence until I heard Lauren scream my name.
I grabbed my gun and went running downstairs.
I couldn't see Lauren but Nick and Ana were talking at the basement door.
I snuck in and listened to their conversation.
" I'll stay down here, they'll have to leave without her tomorrow cause she won't wake up for atleast 12 hours with that injection.
" yeah."
" what's wrong, don't be sad, be happy you're helping the good side." Nick said to Ana.
I decided it was time I stepped in.
" Ana step away from him and nick come out from the doorway now or I'll kill you both right now. " I said pointing the gun in their position.
" do you have your gun on you?" I heard Ana asked nick.
" shit, downstairs." Nick said.
" MOVE NOW!" I said.
" WHERES LAUREN!" I said pointing the gun at Nick.
" chill dude she's right there." He pointed to the couch, she was on the ground and her leg was bleeding.
" what the fuck did you do to her." I looked at Ana.
" they, they made me!" She said.
" stop lying you little bitch, you know you wanted her dead, if you wanted to be forced to do it or not." Nick said.
I looked at Ana, even though we aren't on good terms right now she's looked like she was telling the truth.
" FREDO!" I called him down.
I didn't want Ana to see me kill nick, she's too early in the whole gang shit.
" what? Woah what's going on..." Fredo came in.
" take her upstairs, now." I said looking back at him but getting closer to nick.
" yes." He grabbed her hand and they went upstairs.
" so nick, Remember that time I told you at the bar to watch your back."
" exact words."
" why haven't you listened to them then." I said from behind him.
" because I'm not stopping till she's dead." I felt him pull a gun out but I snapped his neck and down he goes.
" should've listened bud, could've saver your life." I whispered kneeled down by him.
I then got up and went over to Lauren.
" Lauren, come on come on." I lightly tapped her cheek.
" wake up Lauren, come on!"
" ja... Jay." Her eyes opened a bit.
" princess I'm Right here."
" yo... You need to. To get it, out out of my leg, now." She said stutterly.
" what?" She moved and I saw her leg, it was bleeding.
" i.. Stopped. It." She said taking breathes and trying to open her eyes.
I looked closely and saw a metal thing.
" it broke?" I asked.
She nodded her head.
I picked her up bridal style and then brought her into the kitchen.
I grabbed a couch pillow for her head then grabbed tweezers in the bathroom.
" what happened?" Fredo came down.
" go get peroxide and a bandaid." I said pointing to the bathroom.
I looked closely at her leg, I had to get it my first try or it would go further in.
" Jason." She whispered.
" huh?"
" any day now." She held her head.
" it's going to hurt a bit." I said.
" I don't fucking care how it gets out , just get it out." She said losing her voice.
She had to have jagged it out of Ana's hand because the hole is bigger than the needle by a lot, which isn't helping the blood.
I put my hand to stabilize my other hand.
" don't move." I slowly grabbed the needle.
Not going to lie I thought the needle was going to be like half an inch nope it was like 5 inches long, that's why it hurt her so bad.
It started bleeding really bad once the needle was out.
" I gotta clean it now, it might sting." I said putting peroxide on the cotton ball.
I rubbed all the blood off, she flinched when the cleaner hit the wound.
" I'm fine." Her voice was cracking.
I put a bandaid over it and kissed it then cleaned everything up.
" thanks." Her voice was still cracking.
" they said you'd be out for a while. How are you up?" I asked sitting in a chair next to her on the table.
" well I stopped Ana from doing too much, I think my body is just Immune to this sleepy shit they inject in me." Her voice was getting better but her eyes were flickering from being shut to open sleepily.
" I don't know if that's good, but at least you stopped her, I'm going to bring you upstairs, okay?"I asked standing up.
" yes." She laughed as I picked her up easily.
" fredo!" I said as he started destroying food in the kitchen.
" what!?" He dropped everything.
" go to sleep bro, we got a big day today and it's 3:30 in the morning." I said walking upstairs.
" Kay." He said laughing.
" oh and tell Brandon nicks in the living room." I added.
" oh shit okay."
" jay...?" Lauren said putting her hand on my chest.
" what?"
" what happened to Ana?"
" she's in fredos room, I'm really close with her though." I said going in my room and gently putting Lauren down on the bed.
I went and shut the door and locked it so no one can get in.
" I'm disappointed in her." Lauren said turning painfully towards me.
" babe make yourself comfortable you don't have to face me, I don't want you to be in pain." I said as I moved towards her and rubbed her back.
She turned herself so she was facing away from me.
I put my arms around her and pulled her gently into my chest.
" I've got you princess, try to get some sleep." I whispered in her ear kissing her neck softly after.
" love you jason."
" love you too princess." We interlocked fingers and I fell asleep peacefully knowing my baby is in my arms with no harm around her.
We have to wake up in at least 8 hours because we have to get to Pittsburgh around 5 p.m. , I just hope Lauren will be okay to do this mission.
