The return of Jack Eichel.
Eichel will make his season debut for the Vegas Golden Knights on Wednesday when they host the Avalanche. The 25 year old center has not played a game since March 7, 2021. Almost an entire year ago. He started skating with the team January 11 and was cleared for contact on February 7th.
Vegas placed Mark Stone on IR with a back injury which allowed room for Eichel under the NHL cap. The entire team as well as Eichel is excited to have him on the ice and competing after such a long wait. Eichel said he hopes to get the chance to play in the playoffs after the Sabres failed to make it there in each of his six seasons with them.
I personally can't wait to see Eichel back on the ice not just in general but with a new fresh team as well. I've loved watching him play but never really in Buffalo, it always seemed like there was a better place for him in another city in the league. And it now seems like he has found that team and that city in Vegas.
