I rubbed my fists into my sore eyes as I woke from a deep sleep. I felt like absolute shit. I felt something under my hands and looked down. Hyunjin's head lay on my bed and he was hunched over asleep. He had a massive bruise on his cheek and I hoped it wasn't me.
"F-Felix?" My Mom's squeaky voice came from somewhere and I looked around trying to source her face from the darkness. She was at the end of my bed.
"Eo-Eomma." I said quietly. "Where am I? What happened?"
"You silly boy. Why were you doing it?" She asked tearfully. I frowned and sunk my head deep into into pillow behind me, wanting it to swallow me so I didn't have to have this conversation.
"It was making me numb Mom. You wouldn't get it. You didn't see the things I did. You don't hear the voices. You don't have to close your eyes and replay those memories over and over like me." I replied coolly.
"Why didn't you talk to me?" She asked as she wiped her eyes with a tissue. I shrugged slightly.
"What was there to say? 'Oh mum by the way, that time dad got stabbed I watched him take his last breath. Can you help?' It's not something I want to talk about." I mumbled. She recoiled slightly as I spoke and shook her head.
"F-Felix." She said softly.
"Not only that Mom, but Jisung was so devastated. He has his shit going on. You know I can handle more than him. I've always been like this." I murmured.
"Your father would be disappointed in you talking like this." Those words hit me like a fucking train. My hand tightened around Hyunjin's head unvoluntarily and he stirred.
"L-Lix. Your finger is in my eye." He said groggily. I removed my hand and sat up so I could glare at my Mother.
"I fucking dare you to say that again." I hissed. Hyunjin's hand found mine and he slowly pushed me back down in the bed.
"Don't touch him!" My Mother practically screamed. She rushed to take Hyunjin's hand off of me but I caught her wrist tightly.
"Don't fucking touch him. I wasn't done talking to you." I glowered at my mother and my voice was a growl. Hyunjin wrestled my mother's wrist from my hand, and did something totally unexpected.
He slapped the back of my head.
"Don't be disrespectful to your Mother Lix." He said firmly. I stared at him blankly and couldn't believe what he had just done.
"Th-Thank you Hyunjin." She said quietly. He nodded slightly and folded his arms across his toned chest. His biceps bulged through his jacket and my eyes lingered.
"You two need to stop it. All this fighting is killing you both." He stated wisely.
"Whose side are you on?" I asked as I glared at him.
"Your Mother's. She's right Felix. Why do you think I always gave you different bags to everyone else. I mixed salt in there so you wouldn't OD." He mumbled. My Mom and I stared at him.
"Fuck you." I said as tears welled up in my eyes. He sighed and quickly pulled me into his warm embrace. I punched his stomach softly and buried my face into his warm body. Why was it so comforting to have him near me like this?
"Felix. Please, I'm worried about you. You have to be honest, are you still doing drugs?" Mom sounded like she was just about ready to break.
"No." I mumbled. I squeezed my eyes shut and sniffed. I was sick of this. I felt so powerless. Hyunjin's warm hand gently rubbed my back and I wrapped my arm around his hips. My hand was on his toned ass, and I gripped tightly. I felt him jump slightly at the sensation.
