I rushed to the packed school corridor to see if Jisung was here today. Mom and him had continued arguing and I had been banned from seeing him. Of course that didn't stop Hyunjin and I sneaking out in the dead of night to go and visit them. We hadn't been able to for the past couple of days and I was missing my brother.
"There!" I said as I took Hyunjin's hand in mine. I dragged him down the hall behind me as I saw Jisung's backpack and his brown floppy hair bouncing slightly as he walked away from us.
"Jisung-ah!" Hyunjin called loudly. A few heads turned, and finally so did Jisung's. His face lit up with a bright smile and he looked just as excited as I was to see him.
"Lix! Jin!" He rushed towards us with his arms out. Ready to give us a warm embrace. I grinned down at him as his small body impacted mine and Jin's and I ruffled his hair.
"How are you?" He asked as he checked us both over. He was so paranoid about Mr Lee he always did this now. It was kind of cute, but also annoying. He squished my face between his hand and examined me like I was a peice of evidence at a crime scene.
"I'm fine," I said as I freed my face from his grasp. "Mom is calming down. Give it a week and I think you'll be able to come back!" I said excitedly, I was desperate to have him back under the same roof as me. The house wasn't the same without his laughter and sass filling it. He didn't seem as excited. His face dropped and he stared down at his shoes.
"N-No. We don't want to come back." His voice trembled as he spoke and I wished I knew what had gotten into him. Sure Mr Lee was scary but he was barely ever there.
"Why? Jisung come on, don't he stupid!" I whined. I went to press my hand to my forehead, forgetting I was still holding Hyunjin's hand, and ended up punching myself in the face.
"Wow. Real smoothe Lix." Jin mumbled as he removed his hand from mine and checked my face over. His knuckles were bonier than I had expected.
"Fuck off Jin." I murmured, embarrassed at myself. Sometimes I could be so clumsy. The bell rang and we began heading to our class. Jin split off and Jisung and I headed into our class room.
"This discussion isn't over." I said as I rapped my knuckles gently against his desk in passing. He frowned and stared at the front of the room as I took my seat not too far from him.
It was a long road to lunch but it finally arrived. What was weird was the group of people that tended to flock around us. Jisung and I had never been popular before, but Jin and Min had quite a following of hard-core fangirls at this school.
Not only that, but they had four other friends who had accepted Jisung and I as a permanent feature in the group. We had slotted in easily and now, they were our friends too. Chris and Changbin, two of Minho and Jin's friends sat with us as we ate.
Chris draped his arm around Changbin's shoulder lightly as he sat down. Chris was the kindest guy out of the lot, but had a temper when he wanted to.
"Don't touch me!" Changbin snapped as he grabbed his lunch. Chris half lifted his arm, but dropped it back onto his shoulder and slapped his neck gently.
"Don't touch me" I mocked with a smirk on my face. Changbin shot daggers at me as he began pulling out enough food to feed everyone at the table.
"Ugh I'm so hungry!" He wailed as he began stuffing his face with Gimbap.
"I'm so hungry." I mocked back in a stupid voice once more. He stared at me and I couldn't help smirking at him. "You're always hungry!" I pointed out. He flipped me off and chewed his food noisily.
Changbin was the shortest of the friendship group, but also the most dangerous. He was scarier than Leeknow when he got mad. I had seen someone bump into Jeongin, who was the youngest, and Changbin had almost hospitalised the guy.
"Yah, Where are Min and Ji?" Seungmin asked as he seated himself opposite me. I shrugged and sighed.
"Probably off making out somewhere knowing them." Hyunjin said with a smirk on his face. I nudged him with my shoulder and giggled slightly. He draped his arm around my shoulder, mirroring Chris and Bin, and I began feeding him the rice I was eating.
"Urgh! Get a room!" Jeongin said as he sat down. He pulled his backpack off and made fake gagging noises because of me and Hyunjin.
"Huh?" I asked. Hyunjin's mouth was open and I held my hand frozen in the air halfway to delivering some rice into it. I suddenly realised how weird this was and moved away from him. We were brothers after all.
"Yah! I wanted to eat that!" He whined. A pout formed on his face and his lips looked more kissable than ever.
"So eat it!" I snapped as I dropped the chopsticks into the bowl. I grabbed my backpack and got up, storming away from them with resounding 'ooooo' sounds coming from their mouths as I went.
I slammed my hand against the wall in the bathroom. Why couldn't I accept what this was? Why was I so afraid of opening up?
"Fuck." I mumbled to myself. Hyunjin would be feeling awkward I was sure, and worse, I would have to explain to him tonight in bed why I had run off.
"What are you doing in here?" Leeknow stepped out of the stall behind me, pulling his zipper up. I looked at him in the mirror and shrugged.
"I needed some space." He nodded and walked to the sink to wash his hands. The sound of the running water was irritating me and I felt like I was totally overwhelmed by these unknown feelings for Hyunjin.
"Ah, fretting over your level of gay. Hyunjin has that effect on every guy he's around." He said casually. My head snapped around and my eyes widened, what the fuck was he talking about? I hadn't discussed this with anyone.
"Every guy?" I murmured. Leeknow chuckled slightly and leaned against the wall, with his arms crossed over his chest. He had a glint in his eyes and I couldn't help noticing how much happier he looked than the last time I had seen him.
"Don't get insecure. He's only slept with like, eight guys." He said casually. My mouth dropped open involuntarily. I had never had Hyunjin down as someone who had even had sex.
"E-Eight?" I hadn't even slept with one. I hadn't even realised I wasn't straight until I met Leeknow. What had these two brothers done to me? I was a normal guy before I met them, and now... My whole life had been transformed.
"Don't be so concerned. He'll teach you everything you need to know." He smirked and I raised an eyebrow. What was he alluding to? I didn't get a chance to ask as the door opened and the man himself stepped inside.
"Yah, who pissed in your cheerios?" Hyunjin placed his hand on my shoulder and I turned to look at him. His face was showing mild irritation but his deep brown orbs, showed deep concern.
"No one." I murmured quietly. I didn't want to confront this, especially not right now.
"So why did you storm off like that? It was weird." He said as he flattened my hair and stared deep into my soul.
"B-Because I wanted some air." Hyunjin looked around at the four bathroom walls and lifted his hands with a slight confused look on his face.
"OK?" He shook his head and I frowned.
"He's just confused about his feelings." I looked at Minho begging him not to say something with my eyes. But he didn't seem to care.
"Huh?" Hyunjin sounded confused.
"For fucks sake Hyunjin. Just kiss him!" Leeknow snapped angrily. I span around to look at Hyunjin and a pink hue had settled on his cheeks. Leeknow pushed our faces together and I felt it.
The warm feeling bubbled up from my stomach as his plump, soft lips collided with mine. I closed my eyes and felt Hyunjin's arm snake its way around my waist. He pressed his face closer and Min removed his hands from our heads.
Now it was just us, stood, craving each other.
