(For all of my readers, I hope you're all safe and well. I know a lot of you have exams and other stressful things going on right now, and my DM's are always open to every single one of you. I love you all so much)
"Where are you taking me?" I giggled as each of my feet slowly inched forward, searching for hidden dangers in front of me. His hands were firmly pressed to my eyes, blocking out any light, and completely disorientating me. This was the most trust I had ever put in anyone and I wasn't sure I liked surrendering control.
"There's a step downwards be careful sweetheart." His voice was right by my ear and I reached my hands backwards. My fingertips grazed his thighs and I rested my hands against them for comfort. His breath hitched slightly and I smirked to myself, at the barely audible gasp he let out.
"Where are we?!" I asked for the tenth time. I was getting impatient, and I was scared I would trip and injure myself. My legs felt shaky and weak like a newborn deer who was learning to stand.
"Here." He removed his warm hands from my eyes and I blinked hard a couple of times before gasping involuntarily. My hands flew to my mouth as I absorbed the scene in front of me. It was truly breathtaking.
"M-Min..." My eyes filled with deep emotional tears. Our abandoned building had been decorated with hundreds of twinkling fairy lights and dozens of candles placed perfectly on the floor. There was a mattress in the middle of the room covered with a blanket and an array of chocolate strawberries, a cheese board, cute macarons and many other foods, that someone had lovingly prepared.
"Surprise baby." His arms snaked their way around my waist and his lips landed on my cheek. He squeezed me slightly, and I couldn't shake the feeling of shock at the beautiful sight. The flames danced like wild pixies in the gentle breeze around us, and the twinkling lights bathed the room in a warm yellowish light that brought a comforting almost homely feel to the room.
"Wh-What's this in aid of?" I asked quietly as I gently wiped tears from my face. I sniffed and moved my head so I could look at him.
"Are you serious? Baby it's September fourteenth. It's your birthday. Did you honestly think I wasn't going to do something special for you?" He purred into my ear.
"With everything going on, I wasn't even planning to celebrate it." I said quietly. "You spoil me Min." My hands gently rubbed up and down his arms. I leaned against him, absorbing the perfect date he had set up for us.
"That's why you're such a little brat. Because I always give in to you." He released me and I pretended to be horrified at his comment. Laughter escaped him and I threw my arms around his neck tightly.
"I love you Lee Minho. Never change." I whispered into his ear. He held me close to his body and I couldn't help grinning from ear to ear.
"Come on, let's eat. There's a part two to this." He winked at me I quickly kissed his lips.
"Is it you? Because that's what I'm hoping for." My teeth tugged at my lip as my eyes danced over his face. I wanted to capture even the most tiny detail. I wanted to remember this Minho for the rest of my life.
"Stop biting your lip you little brat, or I won't be held responsible for my actions." He warned as his eyes drifted down to my mouth. There was a hunger in his eyes, like a wild animal ready to pounce on its prey.
"Who says I want you to control yourself Min?" I asked suggestively as I leaned in. My lips made contact with his neck and his hands squeezed my waist tightly in response to the feeling.
"Ji-Ji! I've prepared us some food can't we at least eat before I tear your clothes off?" He whined as his hand tugged gently at my hair. I giggled against his neck and pulled away from him.
