"Lix, Lix wake up!" His gentle voice drifted into my ears and reached out to me in the darkness. Pulling me from my neverending hell. I fluttered my eyes open and my face was dripping with sweat and tears. Hyunjin had a vice like grip on my wrists, that slowly loosened as I woke up. I touched my cheeks and sniffed. I stared up at Hyunjin and his face was contorted into a deeply worried expression. His eyes were filled with sadness and concern.
"What's wrong?" I asked as I began drying my face on his fluffy warm blanket. He didn't say anything. He took a deep breath and pulled me into his chest.
"Nothing. Nothing is wrong." He murmured as he held my head against his warm skin. It was always comforting to feel him against me. I closed my eyes and focused on slowing my erratic heartbeat. It was the night terrors.
"Gotta be better than the sex dreams huh?" I mumbled as I composed myself.
"Nothing is better than the sex dreams." He said with a slight chuckle. I felt my cheeks burning and I hid my embarrassment from him. I hated that I was still dealing with these though. Hyunjin looked exhausted and I knew he would be getting less sleep than me.
"Jin, you know earlier? When I said thank you." I murmured. A storm of emotions was raging inside me and I had to tell him how I felt.
"Yah, don't get all soppy again." He muttered.
"Just listen. I wanted to tell you, when we were at the hospital and you told me you would prove life was worth living?" I was rambling like an idiot but I didn't care. I pulled away and looked up into his deep brown eyes. They stared at me, with an interested glint in them. He clearly wanted to hear what I was about to say.
"Of course." He whispered, with a sense of urgency in his voice.
"You did it. Despite all the shit that's happened, I don't wanna die anymore. I wanna live. I wanna stay here, with you, a-and Jisung and Leeknow." His face softened and I felt his warm hand settle on my cheek. His eyes were glistening slightly and I could see he was welling up.
"You're so precious Lee Felix. Don't you ever change." He said quietly. I smiled and placed my hand on his. I wanted to lay there forever, staring into his perfect, deep soulful eyes. He was intoxicating and his beautiful face was worth staying up to admire.
He closed his eyes and rolled onto his back, snapping me out of my trance. The blanket was draped around his waist and his toned body was on full display. It made my heart flutter.
"Stop staring and cuddle me you Pervert." He instructed. I shoved him and then settled down next to him. He gently lifted my head onto his chest and I could hear his heart pounding. Strong and true. Just like him.
"Thank you for waking me Jin." I said as I gently placed my lips on his soft smooth skin. He pressed his hand against the back of my head and I saw the beautiful dimple appear on his cheek as he smiled.
"Now, go back to sleep. We have plans tomorrow." He murmured. I closed my eyes and slowly began drifting off. God it felt good to be almost completely honest with him.
"Goodnight Jin."
"Goodnight Lix. Sweet dreams. Just think about me naked." He teased. I couldn't help chuckling and I felt his arms wrap around me. Holding onto me like he never wanted to let go.
I woke the next morning and Leeknow was nowhere to be found. I frowned and wondered why he would be awake already. He never woke up first. I slowly climbed out of bed and stretched.
