Bad boy saved me

Chapter 18

It has been seven hours of sitting besides Alex's hospital bed while he's unconscious. I was so happy that he was okay but there was still so much that could go wrong. Alex's parents had gone home to get Alex some pjs and stuff. Katie walked in with two cups of crapy hospital coffee.
" thanks " I said yawning
" you look tired, why don't you go home and get some sleep.
I'll call you if anything happens"
" no I'm not leaving him, if it was me in the bed Alex's wouldn't leave."
" I guess your right"
" where are your parents? "
" still at home, this is really hard in them, after my other brother, Luke" Katie said looking down
" oh yeah, Alex told me a bit about him, I guess this is bringing back some awful memories."
" yeah, well" she took a sit of coffee before spitting it back out.
" ew this coffee is awful, I'm gunna drive to the shop and get some real food and drink. You want anything?"
" no I'm good "
" okay" she said hugging me and leaving.

Just then my phone started to ring, it was my dad.
:hi dad
:hi sweetheart, how are you?
: I'm okay
: where are you, your signal is really bad
: I'm at the hospital
: what? Is everything okay, are you okay?
: yeah I'm fine but a friend was in a accident so I'm just saying with them
: oh okay, well I'll be home tomorrow evening but I have to get back to work, bye
: bye

For a while I just sat there staring at the heart monitor machine. I was so tired and my eyes kept closing, but I refused to fall asleep and got the coffee and downed it hoping to stay awake.

I looked at Alex and his eyes were fluttering, and he was opening them!
" Alex! Alex! "
" Ella" he whispered
I began to cry again.
" your gunna be okay Alex, your gunna be okay"
" I could never leave you " he said smiling
I lent down and kissed him, still crying.
He eyes closed again and I got worried and called a nurse
Is everything okay ? The nurse said rushing in
" Well he woke up for a minute but now he's asleep"
That's great, he needs all the rest he can get, I'm afraid for the first day or two he won't be able to stay lively for long but that's normal." She said smiling and me
"Okay, thanks" I said letting out a sigh of relief.
