Trudy: "If this isn't a sight for sore eyes" she gasps, perking up from her spot at the front desk
Joseph: "Hey, Trudy." he smiles, leaning against the counter
Trudy: "Joseph Riley back in the flesh" she nods, giving him a soft smile "How you doing, bud?"
Joseph: "Oh, you know. One day at a time. Thought I wouldn't be able to get out of bed this morning but...here I am."
Trudy: "I'm happy you decided to come back."
Joseph: "Well, I couldn't bear to stay away from your pretty face for long" he chuckles, squeezing the hand she places on his arm in comfort "I'm glad to be back."
Trudy: "Everybody's waiting for you upstairs. Don't worry I told them not to put up the banner."
Joseph: "Thanks." he nods, patting her hand before heading towards the stairs

Antonio: "Hey! There he is." he cheers, standing from his spot to pull Joseph into a hug as the others smile, standing from their seats
Genevieve: "Joseph." she smiles, rushing forward, pulling him into a hug
Madeline: "Ooh, I've missed this face." she coos, running a hand along his beard
Joseph: "With those eyes. You're one to talk." he smiles, pressing a kiss to her cheek
Jay: "What's up man?"
Joseph: "Hey."
Olinsky: "Good to have you back."
Adam: "Hey. I'm Adam Ruzek."
Joseph: "Joseph Riley. Nice to meet you."
Adam: "You too" he hums, eyes widening after a moment "Oh, Joseph! Yeah, yeah. I heard a lot about you."
Joseph: "If it was from these two then consider it all lies." he hums, motioning towards where Genevieve and Madeline are sitting
Adam: "It was from them, yeah" he chuckles "I'm, uh, I'm sorry about your wife. That couldn't have been easy."
Joseph: "Yeah, it wasn't. Thanks, though. Appreciate it." he nods, shaking his hand
Voight: "Would you look who it is." he chuckles, entering the room
Joseph: "There he is" he smiles, pulling Voight into a hug "Still can't believe they let you be in charge."
Voight: "Believe it, bro" he smiles, moving over to the murder board "We're getting a beer together after shift. No excuses."
Joseph: "You got it." he nods, moving to set his stuff down at his desk
Voight: "All right, we got a new case. This is Frank Fitori, caught napping in a ditch by the marsh where he was dumped. He's had his own little racket on the south side for years."
