Polly pov
Rose and finn are best friends. Always together, never apart. But they also fight like cat and dog. Constantly bickering. Last night, they came home at midnight screaming at one another. Clearly both drunk, the second they got upstairs, they burst out laughing and forgot about the argument altogether.
This morning, I sat at the kitchen table with 2 very hungover teenagers. They weren't talking. Finn had his head on the table and Rose and her head on his shoulder. Then, Michael walked in
"Morning mum" he said. I greeted him and then he stood looking at Rose and finn
"What's wrong with you two?" He asked ruffling Finns hair
"Stop yelling" the pair groaned at the same time
"They're hung over. I was gonna ground them but I think the state they're in is punishment enough" I laughed.
"I suggest you wake up abit Rose. Tommy said he wants to speak with ya" Michael told Rose helping her up
"Noooo" she whined burying her face in his chest away from the light
"Come on. You've got 5 minutes before Tommy gets you himself" he said. Finn grabbed roses arm and sat her back down as they fell back asleep
"Well I tried" Michael said as he walked out. A few minutes later, Tommy stormed in to see the twins asleep. He got a glass of water and instead of drinking it like I presumed, he tiped it down the twins necks. The pair jumped up and gasped
"What the fuck?" They screamed simultaneously
"Rose, I need to speak with you" Tommy said sternly
"Ugh. Finn did it" she groaned making finn punch her arm. She punched him and and then he punched her back. This lead to her tackling him to the groaned. She sat on him as she punched him constantly in the face.
"Rose" Tommy said sternly as he pulled her off her brother
"Pack it in" he growled at her
"Tommy, we've got banging headaches. Can we talk tomorrow?" She groaned.
"No young lady we can't. Now explain why I got a call from Alfie Solomon" I watched rose and Finns eyes go wide as they looked at eachother
"Oh fucking hell. What did you do?" I asked them. They were trying to suppress their laughter but failed miserably
"They called Alfie Solomon whilst drunk and started fucking rambling about horses and cake" Tommy explained
"Oh my god" Rose said crying with laughter as she clung onto finn for support. He too was laughing
"We knew we called him but couldn't remember what we said" he explained as he cried aswell.
"Right, family meeting at the garrison" Tommy said before storming out
"You two are mad" I muttered before following Tommy
Rose pov
Everyone was sat at the garrison waiting for someone to start talking. Me and finn were allowed at the family meeting which meant it was about us.
"Right what the fuck is this about. If we're in trouble can we just get it over with" finn groaned
"Shut up! You are not in trouble. Rose, Finn, I have a job for you" Tommy said. Me and finn looked at eachother with grins on our faces
"Tommy" aunt polly warned
"Wipe the smirk off ya face. This is serious and I don't want you to screw it up" Tommy told us ignoring polly
"Oh we know this is serious big brother. And we never screw up anything do we finn?" I said with a smirk
"Never." He replied with the same smirk. Tommy shook his head in annoyance
"This isn't a joke. I need you two to go to school" he said. Our smirks dropped
"Didn't see that one coming did ya" John joked as him and Arthur chuckled
"Tommy, explain before I kick you in the fucking balls" i threatened
"There's a new teacher. And I need information on him" Tommy said
"Why can't John's kids do it" finn whined
"He's form tutor for your class. Or what should be your class if you ever showed up" he said.
"So what do you wanna know?" I asked
"You 2 will go to school. Get to know him. Get detentions so you spend more time with him. I want you to find out where he's from originally, his family and why he came to smallheath. I think he's a spy from Italy but I can't be sure. Understood?" I was very annoyed. Me and finn looked at eachother and nodded
"Fine" we said at the same time. We both stood up and walked out in a huff, knowing if I was there any longer I would lose my temper
"Can you believe them?" I asked as I kicked a stone
"The first time we're involved and we gotta go school" finn replied. They were so stupid. But it had to be done. We would go school and find information on this stupid teacher. We will do more than just that. We are gonna fucking cut the bastard
Monday morning came. Me and finn slept over at Tommy's because he wanted to make sure we got to school. We had gotten drunk the night before, I passed out on the table and he passed out on a chair. I jumped awake when I heard a door slam. Me and finn groaned and covered our eyes. It's so early
"Move your arse. School today" Tommy yelled pushing me off the table and onto the floor. Finn was also pushed on the floor. With much hatred for tommy, we unwillingly got up and went to get dressed. Finn went in his room as I did mine
Tommy pov
I sipped my drink waiting for the screams soon to come. I heard their doors close. Any second now

"Aaaaggghh" I heard the pair scream simultaneously. They had found the uniforms. 2 pairs of feet could be heard running down the stairs in anger
"What the fuck is this?" Finn asked as they swung the door open. It took everything in me not to laugh
"That finn, is your uniform" I stated putting the newspaper down
"Our school doesn't have a uniform!" Rose huffed
"Children in year 9 and above must wear uniform. You are part of the high school now. Building is the same however your teachers and uniforms are different" I explained
"Well I'm not wearing it" they said together crossing their arms. Guess how that argument went. I'll give you a clue. I'm in the car driving a very annoyed brother and sister to school. I looked at them in the mirror
"Rose, put your beret on" I told her
"No. Im a shelby. If you tell them I don't gotta wear it then they won't make me" she huffed.
"He's not gonna do that. Tommy just enjoying watching us suffer" finn muttered making me roll my eyes. But he wasn't wrong.
"Remember, get detentions so you spend break and lunch alone with him" I reminded them as they jumped out the car
"Ye ye we got it for the 1000 time" they both said. It freaks me out when they speak at the same time. I had faith in them. OK that's a lie. I was desperate and needed to believe in them for my own sanity
