ARABELLA'S POV

Walking inside the mall, my mind was preoccupied with rummaging through and draining every bit of my outstandingly exceptional intelligence to come up with a gift for Rhett.

I had already prepared a present for Rhett, but even so I wasn't very confident with what I had planned, which is why I couldn't help but surrender myself to bring about the right present for him.

I simply can't seem to get rid of this urge to get the perfect gift for Rhett and the thought of whether or not Rhett would like it also made me a bit anxious.

For fucks sake, it's a Christmas present,

Why the hell am I putting so much thought into this.

He's so infuriating..

I need help!

Kyson and I walked quietly next to each other, and even with my mind drifting off to my domineering thoughts, my eyes were cold and narrow, vigilantly looking around and observing the sight of the busy mall, decorated with Christmas spirit.

My daze of thoughts was interrupted when a loud voice penetrated the buzzing sounds of the mall, and the content of the voice inwardly made me sigh.

"Mommy, come here!! We are here. Daddy and I have been waiting for you." Bryn exclaimed giddily as he excitedly hopped up and down in his place, frantically waving his small arm at me to catch my attention.

Rhett was standing beside him, simply staring at me and the moment our eyes met, a twitch of his lips revealed how amused he was, enjoying the entire show.

Seeing Bryn's enthusiasm I couldn't help but a bittersweet smile formed on my lips as I made my way towards my little shit.

What am I going to do with this boy!

He's lucky that he's cute and that I like him.

"Ready to go shopping?" I asked as I stood in front of him, my hand unconsciously moved to fix the untame lock of his hair back to make them presentable.

"Yes, I'm so excited. I will buy you everything you want. Don't worry mommy, I've got you covered." He stated stubbornly, and he notoriously patted his chest with determined glint in his eyes.

I cast a glance to Rhett, who was staring at Bryn in disbelief.

"Your brothers spoil him." Rhett said with a sigh, his brow's furrowed, as looked between me and Bryn.

"Is that so? How much money do you have?" I asked Bryn with my eyebrow raised, as I ignored Rhett's accustory gaze.

"I have Daddy's card." He said as he pulled out a black card from his pocket and waved it in front of his face.

I looked at Rhett with amusement dancing in my eyes as he avoided my gaze.

"My brothers, huh?" I asked and Rhett immediately took his card back from Bryn, earning him a shriek of protest.

"It was for emergencies, Bryn." Rhett scolded Bryn causing the latter to look at me before glaring at Rhett.

"It is an emergency, I need to buy gifts for my mommy." Bryn said cutely, making me chuckle.

"Daddy will buy gifts for mommy, you mind your business." Rhett said as he gave him a final don't-argue-look.

"Mommy is quite capable of buying gifts for herself, you both don't need to bother." I said while pointing my finger at Rhett and Bryn, while the two of them looked at me with bright smiles on their faces.
