You walk into the kitchen, noone is there. You grab a slice of bread and drink some milk as you prepare the honey-water.
"Hey y/n" you turn and smile
"Good morning, Thor"
"You look terrible" he states and you laugh.
"Always honest"
"You never look terrible y/n... What happened?"
"I- I didn't sleep very well..."
"Why?"
"I don't know it just happened" you avoid to tell him about Steve
"What are you making there?"
"Oh, it's just honey-water... My mother used to make me honey-water, when I was sick... or I couldn't sleep"
"Good morning, guys!" Bruce greets as he enters the kitchen
"Well, every day I wake up the same hour... This is the first time I meet so many people so early!"
"We are getting ready to take off"
"Oh yeah, I forgot, Buck told me yesterday... Bruce..."
"Yes?"
"Promise me you'll take care, of yourself and the others..." he nods
"I don't think we need protection y/n" Sam says from the hallway.
"I know Sammy, I just want you to be careful"
"We will! Don't worry!" he hugs you with one arm.
"Okay... I'm going to bed, have a safe flight" you walk away with your honey-water.
*When you were gone*
"What's with the hot water she was holding?" Bruce asks
"She didn't sleep well last night" Thor explains
"Well, she was sleeping on a chair... I wouldn't say it is a comfortable place to sleep" Sam says and Thor looks at him in confusion
"I though, she had a bed" Sam face palms himself.
"Yes... She does... But she was sleeping by Captain's side. It was supposed to be Bucky in her place but he had to sleep for our mission. So, he asked her to take his place" Sam explains
"She didn't tell me that she was with Steve..." Thor says with draw eyes
"She avoids people seeing her with Captain" Bucky says as he is walking down the stairs.
"Yeah... I know" Thor says and cross his arms "She really doesn't want him to know that she is there with him... She won't even tell him that she was the reason why the bullet didn't hit his spine" he adds and after he realizes what he just said he bite his lips and looks at the ceiling.
"SHE WAS THE REASON FOR WHAT NOW?" Sam, Bucky and Bruce yell together.
"She asked me not to tell... She is gonna kill me..." they get closer to him.
"What do you mean by that?"
"I'll tell you only if you promise me that you won't tell anyone!" he states and they all nod. Thor told them what had happened and they were in shock.
"Are you serious Thor? She saved his life... He should know it" Sam protest
"NO" Bucky says strictly.
"Why not?" Bruce asks.
"We all know that captain won't like it... He doesn't want to have anything with y/n. Last time he saved her life and she saved his... He still hasn't got over it... Imagine now that he was only saved and didn't save her..."
