"Aiden... what is-- well, promise me first that you won't laugh," I said as I can feel my cheeks heating up.

"And why would I? If your question ended up being funny, then I will laugh. But if it isn't then, I won't," he answers as he leans on the couch.

"It's just... I know you loathed me, right?"

Wait, hold on... why do I feel like I have already asked this kind of question before?

"Yes and?"

H-he really did not hesitate to answer there...

"Well, right now... do you still hate me?" I ask as I lower my head. I think I ask the wrong question here.

*Bathump! Bathump!*

I can feel my heart thumping wildly right now. This... feels all so familiar.

'Because you have already asked this to him you fool!'

"...No?"

Eh? Why did it sound more like a question than an answer??

I look up to observe his reaction and he has this confused look plastered on his face.

"Eh? Why did it sound like a question and not an answer?" I ask him.

"Come to think of it... since when did my hatred for you vanish?" He spoke as he stares at me.

*Bathump! Bathump!*

"There is something about you... my dear Ori," His voice whispers in my ear as I can feel his hot breath on my skin.

*Bathump! Bathump!*

W-wha.... this... I can't...

"F-forget it!" I exclaim as I close my eyes, trying to erase the image that suddenly appears in my sight. I indeed did ask the wrong question.

*Bathump! Bathump!*

No! He is not him. He can't be the same as him! He can't! I don't want to...!

"H-hey! What's wrong?" I can hear the shift of his tone to worry as he stands up from his seat.

He is coming towards me... He will get me again... I--!

*Bathump! Bathump!*

"S-stop! J-just stay where are right now!" I yell as I open my eyes, only to witness Aiden only two feet away from me.

I can see the confusion and worry in his eyes as he halts his raised hand from touching me.

"...Did I-- Did I say something wrong?" He mumbles in a faint tone as I can see his outstretched hand, shaking a bit.

*Bathump! Bathump!*

No... This is-- Aiden... It's not him...

I took a deep breath as I look down, avoiding his confused stare.

"N-no... It's nothing. I--" But before I can continue my stuttering, loud footsteps echo in the hallway outside my room.

"ERRISSA!!!" A loud booming voice yells before I can hear the knights trying to prevent that person from entering my room.

That voice is...!

"What was that?" Aiden said as he was about to step towards the door.

I quickly seize his arm to stop him before glancing around the room.
