11. This is Halloween...

CANDICE POV:

It's Halloween time and we've decided this year to take the kids out for some fun. The best thing about Halloween is dressing up, especially being us, because the public won't be able to recognise us this way. Prisha, Suzie, Vina and I sit around the dining table, discussing what theme we should go for, we end up deciding on Disney characters, because we all love Disney films. So we split up the names of all our family into 4 groups, so we can each go ask them their top 3 favourite characters, in case multiple people choose the same character. We ended up inviting some friends to join us and sorted out outfits for them, too. We ended up with Regina, Ash, Suzie, Nian, Stacey, Anna, Prisha, Warren, Tasia, Vina, Lucy, Maria, Braden, Joseph, Scarlet, Lavina, Frigga and me. Plus Penny and Allisa, Pepper and Bailey and Eloise, Strange and Melina and James, Scott and Shantel, Peter and his soulmate MJ. We group up the children and adults, going off the favourite characters of the children and dressing the adults in their group appropriately. We decided that it would be safer and easier to trick or treat in groups, rather than us all going to each door together and overwhelming everyone. We gather everyone in the living room once we've made the decisions, and I talk "For each Halloween so far we decorate the mansion and school, we play games, have special treats, a great meal and dress up in whatever outfits. Well, some of us have been thinking that we could go trick or treating. We can all dress up, the public wouldn't recognise us." There's a lot of agreement "So, we asked for character suggestions and we came up with 5 groups of 6. So, you guys ready?" There's lots of cheering "Okay, group one is going to have Frigga as Olaf, Maria as Anna and Prisha as Elsa, plus Eloise as Alice, Bailey as the Mad Hatter and Pepper as the Queen of hearts. Group two is going to be James as Peter Pan, Melina as Wendy and Strange as Captain Hook, plus Lucy as Beast-" There's a "Yay!" From Lucy "-Nian as Gaston and I'll be Belle. Group three is Vina as Snow White, Stacey as Happy and Anna as Grumpy-" She looks very grumpy as she says "Why do I have to be Grumpy?" Everyone just laughs at her and I continue "Lavina as Winnie The Pooh, Joseph as Pinocchio and Suzie as Tiana. Group four is going to have Shantel as an Alien and Scott as Woody, plus Braden as Robin Hood and Tasia as Cinderella, plus Allisa as Aurora and Penny as Maleficent. And lastly, group five has Scarlet as Boo and Regina as Sully,
plus Warren as Hades and Ash as Ursula, as well as Peter as Hercules and MJ as Megara." We all find what bits we need off the Internet for the outfits, not necessarily going with the exact outfits, but instead some going with themes. Two weeks before Halloween, we get the kids to help with decorations, like we always do, though we do some shopping too for some bits and pieces. One week before Halloween, is when we put all the decorations up, some outside, some throughout the school and the rest inside the mansion.

When it comes to Halloween morning, we've got a very crazy day ahead of us. It starts off with just those of us who live here, my soulmates and kids. The kids start waking us all up from about 7am, all really excited. They all run into a bedroom and start jumping on the bed, they find most of us in pairs, but we all made sure to be fully dressed before going to bed. It's our Halloween tradition to have a set of pajamas that we put on the night before, and today we're going to keep these outfits on until the afternoon. We're wearing a mixture of Disney Villains, spooky themed outfits and animal onesies. Once everyone's awake, we all head down to the kitchen, where Stacey and Warren make us all pancakes, there are a LOT of them. Some of us gather loads of different things to decorate our pancakes with, plus fruit juices and milk. After a great breakfast, we all get ourselves ready for the day, but remaining in our pajamas. We all work together to bake Halloween themed cupcakes and shortbread. After having a very messy bake off, which afterwards we're very thankful that we put aprons on everyone, but the kids (and some of us older kids) still get absolutely covered. So after making our treats, we take baths and showers. We all sit and watch the Muppets Haunted Mansion. Then we have salad with couscous, jacket potatoes and tortillas for lunch, we then each have either a cake or shortbread afterwards. Then we start getting everyone ready for tonight, knowing it will take quite a while. As some of us get the kids ready, others keep the other kids occupied and watch some more Halloween Disney films, the little ones taking a nap during the last one.

For little Frigga, we put white face paint all over her face and put some orange on her nose, and put her hair in two buns on top of her head. We dress her in white ugg boots, white fluffy leggings, a white fluffy jumper and a white fluffy coat with a hood and black buttons, plus brown gloves. For Maria, we put some pink glitter on her eyelids and paint her nails the same, we then get her into an Anna replica dress from the first film and black shoes, we put her hair into two plaits to go with the rest of her outfit. For Lucy, we had found a Beast costume and mask, so we let her lose on it with a pair of scissors, after she says she wants to be scary Beast, not Prince Beast. After she's damaged the outfit a lot, we give her a crazy hairstyle and get her into her outfit. For Joseph, we put him in a pair of brown shoes, red trousers (because it's too cold for shorts, all who are wearing dresses are also wearing tights or leggings), a yellow fleece with a black body warmer over it, a blue bow tie, white gloves and a yellow hat which we stick blue ribbon and a red feather onto. For little Lavina, we put her hair in two buns like ears on her head, then tried some face paint, but she really didn't like it, crying and screaming, so we left her alone for a while. Later on when we get back to Lavina, we put her in yellow ugg boots, yellow fluffy leggings and a red fluffy jumper, plus a red jacket. For Braden, we put him in a full forest green outfit of boots, leggings, jumper and jacket, plus a hat with a red feather. We also gave Braden a plastic bow, quiver and arrows. And for little Scarlet, we put her in white trainers, purple leggings, a pink jumper and a pink coat that reaches her knees. And to finish it off, we put her hair in pigtails.
