For I was torn between the two of you;

One a sensible love, one a true love,

My heart was paralyzed on who to woo;

To the back of my mind, these thoughts I shove:

I cracked and fell apart, my soul was locked;

A choice to make lay in Eastern Europe;

Consumed by pride, to be broken by shock,

Gone, weeks of my life fruitlessly used up:

The blonde was on the more casual side;

The swarthy one, had found her heart's true mend;

The former, a sinner, cast her aside;

The latter, I was cast aside, a friend:

At one time, I thought I had both of you;

In a week, neither, if only I knew.
