We had no common interest, nothing shared,

So different our lives, an ocean apart:

All of this, then why have I so long cared?

Why have you alone melted my cold heart?

Things in the past have moved my stubborn soul:

Flutters of passion, light as a feather,

But your grace has buried me in this hole;

Your ghost: a boulder that will not weather:

My love for you is pure, beyond mere lust:

I saw you for who you are, a person,

More than an object, much more than a crush:

The walls of sorrow flank me, closing in:

I do not lament your place in my soul,

But without you, will I ever be whole?
