I write these sonnets from my heart to mind;
They takes minutes to read but months to write,
My love was brief, but here it escapes time;
In lonely darkness poetry shines bright;
_____________________________As I wander my heart's barren cavern;
I grope and feel my way along the wall;
Three weeks, my soleless shoes have been worn in;
Deeper and deeper in pitch black, I crawl:
_______________________________Laying on bare stone, something drives me on;
The further down, the greater the riches,
At the start, only silver words I won,
But now I find gold; my reward this is:
_______________________________Lost love has made me trudge this world blind,
But in the written arts, new eyes I find.
