Your beauty shines like a bright rose petal;

Each glance, my soul is ever more enthralled;

Too much of a coward, I lack mettle,

So I admire you across this wall:

So close to me, yet there is a divide;

Oh, Why did I have to show up too late?

Now in your eyes, my feelings I must hide;

I shouldn't, but will I forever wait?

If you were not in another's garden,

Then I would pick you, out of all flowers;

Lacking thorns, unique among all women,

No wonder o'er me you have such powers:

Perhaps it is better late than never,

For my sake, don't make me wait forever.
