Crimes Of The Past

everything went numb inside her body, it felt worse than death by a thousand cuts, she wanted to escape this, she wanted to run towards him and bring him back, but he fell through the one-way getaway veil, the archway of death, she was paralyzed, no tears were spilling, she had never cried, never shred a tear, but this made her rip her own heart out if it meant he'll come back to her, 

Something was happening with her, she could sense the elements around her, her mind begging to let go of the control and unleash her wrath, 

then she saw him, the poster guy for goodness, she wanted to rip his soul apart, into a hundred  million pieces, 

the pain got dull as she felt like she had hit the rock bottom

Cassiopeia gasped as if trying to regain her breath, she knew what just happened, she got her first vision and it was a terrible one, her worst nightmare, maybe she was being paranoid, but it felt like it was real.

Cassiopeia was packing her bags when she was called down by the dark lord, she knocked on the door and it open up itself, she went in to see him, 

"sit down Delphine", she nodded her head and took her seat, 

" the time turner has been arranged we have to make a trip to 1927, once we get the prophecy we'll travel back to 1927 and bring an obscurial" Cassiopeia nodded her head and asked a question that has been killing her for so long 

"I still have one question father" Voldemort nodded as a gesture to continue 

"who killed my mother?" the dark lord took a pause and showed her the pensive, the took out memory as Cassiopeia put her face in 

she could see her mother Artemis lying on the floor dead, her grey eyes didn't have that spark she had often observed in pictures, she saw Rabastan knelt next to her, just looking not crying not angry just devoid of everything, the dark lord looked at what was missing Artemis's wedding band and the Gaunt ring,  he picked his wife up that's when he saw a ring with inside inscribed Arianna, as in Arianna Dumbledore. 

Cassiopeia realized that it was Dumbledore who did this.

he announced to his death eaters that their lady was no longer with them, his one-year-old daughter was nowhere to be found and neither was Regulus, this made the dark lord conclude that Artemis was aware of what was to happen and ask her brother to hide their daughter.

 the memory ended and Cassiopeia was drawn back to reality. 

"Dumbledore killed her" Cassiopeia sighed 

" your mother didn't trust Dumbledore but when she was in school, she thought of him as a kind man, that kindness of hers is what got your mother killed

 " Death is something I have used, Played with my whole life, but your mother's death drove me to such heights of craziness that I got killed by a half-blood, a year-old child, love is powerful, but respect and power have no match, I can't fall in love, that is my weakness Delphine, not an asset, for so long I thought it was a gift but your mother made me realize that there is power in love, then you were born,  and the day you opened your eyes at me, looked at me for the very first time, I realized that Artemis Black gave me something no one ever could, no money, no dark arts, no power, it was family dear, but Dumbledore stole Artemis, from the both of us, if there is one thing that I wish I could change myself, it would be to love your mother the way she deserves to be"
